Hell, I don't think I've ever even played Street Fighter

You've greatly missed out, then. It's undoubtedly the greatest 2D fighter of our time! Though, some will argue that SNK's King of Fighters is much more superior to that of Street Fighter.

I'm honestly not a 100% sure whether I have or have not played it. I didn't play many video games as a kid. Sadly, I was not allowed. :(

Man...to parry standard moves is extremely hard, but to parry something like a 15 hit special is impossible...unless you are that guy in the video of course.

I remember the good old days of '91-'92 when arcade machines were hitting their sprite-peaks and rising in popularity. I would exchange my $3.00 allowance for quarters every Thursday and splash it all on Street Fighter and various other arcade games at the mini arcade shop a cross the street from my house. Want to know the funny thing? I had Street Fighter for Sega Genesis at that time, but it just wasn't the same as playing it via arcade, and being surrounded by a crowd of your friends. I'll never forget those days.
wow, the memories.

like I always say, the past always seems better when marinated for at least 5 years.

I wasn't so good in Street Fighters mode. Even in the arcade, I play it alone myself. Whenever a challenger asks me to join in, I refuse it. It was just so easy for him to beat me in. I can't do easily in the combo attacking. :(

I was always Ken/Ryu... was it just me or was E. Honda by far the easiest to beat? I always used to practice new combos I thought up on him.

The thing I like about Street Fighter is that the gameplay and pace allowed you to actually use your head when fighting. Pulling off multiple hit combos actually took some hand/eye co-ordination and skill. I find all the newer fighting games I've played in recent years are way too fast paced and complex, and so just end up being mindless button-mashers. It's like whoever can hit their buttons faster and more often always wins..

So true, Shinji. Street Fighter was all about precision and timing, and above all, skill like you said. That's something we see very little of in today's fighter games, sadly. Take the Dead or Alive series for example, that game has to be the epitome of a button-mashing game, yet it's so highly revered.

EDIT: I thought Blanca was the easiest to beat. The guy gets so predictable after a while!

i reckon M.Bison (the final boss. since different country have different name for him, some country name him Vega) is quite stupid in SFZA3

how about Akuma? i always scare to play him but like to use him. afraid his special move all the time..... :|

I always thought Zangief was the easiest, at least I didn't have any problems in beating him (in SFII Turbo for SNES)
I always used Ken, Honda and Sagat (Y)

I was always a Ryu man. Nowerdays though, if I play I'll be Akuma.

I remember Guile being the easiest to beat. His sonic booms sucked

Don't get snooty with me, Hyun. I'll slap you.

I always played as Sagat (the tall kickboxer guy from Thailand).

Amish? :(
maybe if I marinate your ass for 5 years, or at least a day, you'll be a better person. how's that for snooty.
