I was reading an article about Boca Junior giving Maradona the title of General Director of amateur futbol which is like some high-end position in the ranks of the team and it also talked about him being much close to actually coaching the team in the future..

so..do you think Maradona would do a good job coaching a team or would he just plain..suck :bouncy:

no, I wouldn't want my club to go bankrupt with the bill from the colombian drug dealers (H).

Coaching is for mediocre players they seem to be more sucessful.

I think you're right, Mauro Galvão was a stupendous defender, but he's a mediocre coach... and Carlos Alberto Torres too...

Anyway, I would like to see Maradona training my team... I mean, anyone(REALLY anyone) is better than Dário Lourenço, Joel Santana and Antonio Lopes

I would like to see Romário coaching a team too! (H)

If he actually brought his expertise and teaching to the game then yes who wouldn't. he was a great leader on the field. But if was just an emotional appointment or for publicity, then no.

Hahahaha:D

But seriously, as long as he has no financial powers in the club I would welcome the expertise of the 2nd best ever player.

edit: you mean first ;)

And yes I would love for "GOD" to coach my soccer team or any team, after all the world's greatest players does know a lot about soccer. Second of all, he is not a coach but has a more general position in the club. Third of all he does have some coaching experience, in Racing Club of Avellaneda. Fourth, for all the dimwits that think that he would get the players high, I believe you are mistaken, those are mistakes he made in his life, but I believe he would take his job very seriously...

Maradona is a morbid obese, steroid-using, crack addict. How about that for thinking?

Not anymore ;) So I catalogue this statement as "ignorant talk." BTW, why must his "personal-life" get into the every post that is made about him. Please, grow up.

What is up with the photo of his two daughters? Sometimes foreigners talk about Maradona like if they know him really well, I guess you have to be from Argentina to understand the sentiment of Maradona.

Oh and PS: you forgot a comma, after morbid ;) Next time correct your grammar before you write.

NO. Maradona was a genius with the ball but that means nothing for being a good coach. I guess he can understand the players better than the coaches who have not played professional football before. Apart from that, he doesn't look like a smart guy at all.
