Worse Graphics then 07?

So I got Fifa 08 yesterday, running on 1280 x 1024 everything on high.

Yet the game looks worse then Fifa 07? I don't get it, is it like this for everyone?

Anything I can do to make the graphics better?

Well I don't own FIFA 08, but from the SS that I have seen IMO the graphics are much worser than FIFA 07. I hate that blur effect everywhere, and the player models seemed to have been modified as well, IMO the legs...

Turn Anti-aliasing and Anisotropic filtering to the highest from your graphics card control panel

Try this cfg ini file. Put it in FIFA 08/Data/cmn. Let me know if that improves your graphics.

Thanks man, I did that and forced AA and AF in the Nvidia control panel. Looks much better now.

Did you just play around with the LOD detail settings?

I just used the lod values from the thread a few pages http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148490

Also used monkeydragon's site for the tweak to get rid of the blurry effect.

Open the nvidia control panel, view -> advanced -> 3D settings on the left
-> Manage 3d settings -> Program settings -> find or add fifa08.exe -> set AF and AA to whatever you want -> Apply. You're done. I use 16x for both.
