worried ps2 owners about will we need an xbox soon???

Im playing WE8 at mo n lovin it but realise there are flaws such as the 'slowdown'! ive never really played on an Xbox but am worried that when PES4 comes out on that aswell as our little ps2's will Xbox sort of become the new superior 'home' of the series? in other words by the time the next PES 5 game comes out if we want the best version will we need an xbox coz itl seem **** on the ps2 by then????

what do u guys think?

I am thinking about buying an Xbox, even more because the rumours keep coming about PES 4 going on-ling thru LIVE (the on-line feature of XBox).
It is true, the playstations limits are reached, according to Konami.

Some addition about Pes 4 on LIVE:
Today I confronted Konami with two scans from magazines who announced PES 4 on line via Xbox LIFE. The first reaction was that she was taken by surprise and always thought it would NOT be on-line. She told me to ask around about it:
After an hour I called again and she said that 'some things are about to happen' but she was asked to keep things internal.
In that case I think I know enough ;)

yeah but ive heard online play is not that good and expensive. If u got an xbox now tho which format would u buy PES$ on if it came out 2mrw?

Difficult question: My Playstation brought me a lot of fun with PES/WE, but to be honest I think Xbox has newer technology than Playstation and because of that I think there will not be things like slowdowns. So my choice will be Xbox.
If you buy a new Xbox, LIVE-gaming will be free for the first year and after that it is 50 dollars (I think) a year..

I am not sure I understand you...
It is PES 4 and if you ask if the PC-version will be better than the XBox-version than I choose XBox, IF they go on-line (PC-version will certainly NOT on line).
For the rest there will not be a lot difference between PC and X-box version.

I don't know the specifications of PS3, but if that's new, I think it has better quality than Xbox , just because XBox is older. Just speculation, though :confused:

There are definitely things going on behind the scenes with regards to Xbox and WE, from what I see:

1. PES 4 already announced on Xbox.
2. Konami USA announces WE8:I will be on PC and on "multiple consoles"
3. Han confuses his Konami contact, who later admits that perhaps there are things going on with regards to Xbox Live ;)

Add to that some related developments:
A. Microsoft shuts down its internal sports development teams and finally partners with EA for its sports titles on Live. You have to imagine they'll continue building the number of sports titles available for the Live service.

Finally, Xbox (and PS2) prices continue falling, with another slash expected in the U.S. before Christmas. Why? Among other things, to drive demand for console games.

We may see WE8:I on Xbox next spring or summer in the U.S., and while we love our PS2s, the choice would be clear as to which platform would offer the superior WE experience -- IMO.

I had been said last year that there were doubts about the PS2 ability to handle PES4, that PS2 was getting to old to handle it.

Well, I love both of my consoles.

I'll be getting the X-Box version when it comes out here in the U.S. but the PS2 still has one advantage...

PES4, WE8, WE8-JL and WE8IJ.

vs

PES4 + LIVE.

PS2 is getting more and improved versions..

Getting rid of PS2 = ridiculous. :mrpimp: :hump: :rockman:

Btw, anyone getting Fable? Can't wait! Hehehe.

jumbo, fable's gonna really rock and take some time away from WE playing, unfortunately. Just about three weeks away!

Fable, not to mention Halo 2, are reasons enough to pick up Xbox, soon to retail well under $150. Then you'll be ready when WE8:I is introduced on that platform next spring.

Another great reason for having a PS2... GTA titles always get one-year exclusive release on PS2.


Personally I can't wait a year....

When PES5 is released I think Xbox 2 and PS3 will be released by then...:confused:
