It's great to see the World Cup match shows on ESPN, ESPN 2 &
ABC.
Damn..I have to work full-time in this summer. I hope

So many throwaway games not worth getting up for. I wouldnt watch Costa Rica vs Turkey if someone wheeled the TV right next to my bed........South Africa vs Slovenia? I thought this was the worlds best?!

I think it is funny to watch the underdogs sometimes. I'd watch one of those games. It could turn out to be good. Who knows?
Slovenia or Costa Rica could turn out to be really good teams.
Same thing happened in France 98. People said that Chile or Nigeria would not go far and they did.
Also bigger boys Spain and Belgium went out at the group stage.

Yeah, its great watching those smaller teams playing...
I'm lucky, i get to watch the World Cup at resonable times, pretty much the same times as they are actually being played in Japan and South Korea
Lets just hope SBS get the rest of the games in Australia that would be great.

i just wanted to tell everyone that here in Perth the first games of the group stages start at 5pm then 7pm then 9pm
and then the round of 16 all games start at 7pm and dito the rest
and they are all being shown on free to air tv !!

theres a big contorversy here over which channel should broadcast the matches , a new channel TenSports launched in April took over the rights but this channel is available in only a few cities and therefore the government has asked the owners to give the rights to telecast matches to doordarshan : the most widely watched channel since thier aim is to bring matches to the common man. .....i'm really in a tense situation here...
any one knows what the timings would be in india of LIVE matches

For 3 WCs, I've had to friggin stay up at 3+ just to watch certain key matches. This time, THE WC is shown at 3:30pm, 5:30pm and 7:30pm! WooOEeET! The bad part however, is that pubbing won't be as fun as watchin' a footie match with frenz in the sweet dawn air

For all the fans in the USA
For all the soccer fans here in the USA. ESPN2 will be broadcasting a show called World Cup 2night every night at 8:30pm (pacific time but I guess its the same in the east coast) So all the highlights from the games that morning and interviews for the games later that night/morning will be on that show. So finally ESPN takes us soccer fans into consideration. Our own soccer show just like Baseball 2night and NFL 2night. We have WC 2night. Two more weeks...I cant wait!

I will adjust my sleeping schedule to 3pm to 12 am
Hahaha finally it's in Asia and no more waking up at night. It's also holidays now and that means I can watch all 64 matches live on TV. Yay! Of course I won't watch all the matches, but it's so much more convienient now to watch a match, instead of waking up at 2-3am to watch. There are now 4 channels broadcasting one match here (with normal, tactical, team a and team b).
mY FRIENDS why are you insulting my team and other poeples teams? turkey WILL beat brazil trust me and theyre just as good as any other team same goes for costa rica. all the teams in the world cup are definetly worlds best teams and they will definetly play their best. it will be fun even though you think the underdogs cant do anything its always the big expectation teams that screw up and the underdogs that always win. the only difference that causes this is DETERMINATION and the hunger for achivenment.
