José Saturnino Cardozo got injured and will be missing the world cup, he will be replaced by some Lopez guy that plays in Genoa. There are troubles with the paraguayan association of football, they are being accused of resale of tickets for the world cup matches.

I heard that Cocu, Sneijder and Van Bronckhorst will not be able to play the first match of Netherlands against Serbia & Montenegro, also Van Der Vaart would be out of the world cup due an injury.

Rooney had a definite smile on his face as he left the Whalley Range clinic in Manchester, with both men leaving in the same car and, although unconfirmed, look to be heading together to the airport to return together to join the England team in Baden Baden.

This shows how useful these friendlies before the world cup, specially against teams that will not be playing it(which may rise the chances of injuries, since they have nothing to lose) kudos for Pekerman for choosing not to play anymore matches before the world cup.:o

Well it seems that Van Der Vaart will be in the world cup after all, it seems that the injured players are getting recovered fast.

Argentina won 3-0 in a 40 minutes match against the U20 sparrings, the goals were scored by Crespo, Saviola and Maxi Rodriguez. Yesterday the press was a bit angry because, the FIFA forces trainings to be seen by the press so Pekerman left 6 players(Cufre, Coloccini, Aimar, Tevez, Messi and Cruz) there and took the rest to the Adidas central in Nuremberg where the rest of the players played a match against the U20, where they won 3-1 apparently Palacio scored 2 goals there, and it seems that it was a good match of Lucho Gonzalez too, now the media was angry because the match of Nuremberg was at closed doors and they were able to see the other 6 players kicking the ball around, running and later playing a football-tennis match and they thought they were fooling them by having these 6 doing that. Cufre had to leave the team some days ago because his father died so he came to Argentina, however he rejoined the team and is training normally also it seems that he's leaving a good image to Pekerman.:o

Oswaldo Sanchez father passed away this afternoon just hours before he

was going to catch his flight to Germany to watch his son Oswaldo

Sanchez play in his first World Cup.His father died of an unexpected heart

attack. It is doubtful that Oswaldo Sanchez will play against Iran in

Mexico's opening game on Sunday. Hopefully Oswaldo Sanchez will play....

I just heard Oswaldo is on a plane back to Mexico as we speak, so he wont be there vs Iran at the very least, who knows about the rest of the games. Jesus Corona to take his place vs Iran.
