World Cup 06 Draw - Dec 9th 20:15 CET

If the Confed cup was any indication of what's to come, I find it hard to beleive that Brazil can be stopped. Especially if Ronaldinho and Adriano are in good form :(

Oh come on, Shifty. Holland has arguably the BEST midfield there is out there! Van der Vaart, van Bommel, Sneijder, Cocu, Landzaat, Maduro and Davids? Compared to Germany's stand-out case of... Schweinsteiger. And no, Makaay does not for play for us, there's not even an assurance he'll be selected into the 23-man squad. He does not fit our playing style, that's as simple as it is.

Cocu? He was washed up even as far back as 99. Landzaat? Maduro? Davids? He's been released by how many clubs in the past 3 years? I like VdV, vB, Robben (you forget him!?) and Sneijder, but I don't know, they just don't seem that good together to me.

On the other hand I think Ballack, Deisler, Schweinsteiger, and Borowski work pretty well together, they all do their roles well. Plus if Holland don't play Makaay they don't have nearly as good of an attack. RvN can't do anything except tap it in. Podolski is the MAN and Klose can head probably better than RvN. I think Germany is better. Holland has much more depth though, so injuries or inconsistency could REALLY sink the Germans.

Oh without a doubt England has the best midfield. Lampard, Gerrard, Becks, and I'm thinking you play SWP on the left wing and tell him to not worry about defense and just get up the sideline, but everyone else thinks J Cole which is a good option too.

In the Confeds cup, they lost against Mexico, and shamefully tied with Japan. Outside that you can find loses with Argentina and Ecuador in the eliminatories, and if we go back in time you can find a defeat against Paraguay in the Copa América.

If everything was already decided before playing, then it's not worth to make world cups or play football at all.

Well, Brazil tend to step up their game whenever it's world cup time, I hope they feel the pressure of being favorites and get out in the round of 16... because I really can't see them going out in the group stage... Croatia seem to be decent enough to beat us, but I believe we'll qualify first in the group... then I hope we get the Czech, and they kick us out... it's ridiculous how nobody in this country rate the Czechs...

His point was that Brazil first has to win the title, we've seen so many team that were labelled as the winners before the tournament even started and later went out after horrible performances.

I think only if Ronaldinho breaks a leg(which I don't hope) there's a chance of anyone else becoming champions then Brazil.

Well yes, however i see it more probable that Ronaldinho is fit but the rest isn't than Ronaldinho getting injured.

But eh that's all speculation got to wait for the World Cup.
