that match was digusting, its a disgrace to football.
that ref should be banned, point blank.
we earned that win even being cheated & down a player.
2 free goals for brazil when there clearly were no foul or encroachment, 2 penalties that should have been awarded to us.
that was the sorriest thing i have ever seen from any brazilian side, mens or wamans to waste time, ericka should have been red carded.
we deserved that win, we spanked that ass, its too bad fifa has such a hatred for my country, we are far better than what fifa allows us to be.
It would have been such a shame if brazil would have gotten throu with all that. It sure was hard to see them being that unfair with that timewasting and all ... and wow, better not talk about the ref here, the refs have been a major talking point this entire wc. But it sure helped anyone getting behind the USA and cheering for that last minute goal and well deserved win in the end. Breathtaking! 
Hope they will get far, winning the cup even! ... they are such a nice team to sweat with. And who knows, maybe that will help the USA to reduce "their hate" towards fifa and "soccer", the sport they keep refusing to call by its real name *g*

we hate soccer & fifa because we are the country who gets screwed by fifa the most, fifa prefers teams over others & prefers all over us.
we will never love a game that we know doesnt want us to be a part of it & knowingly going into a competition we are handicapped in.
because not only do we face the team we are playing we face the refs as well.
we will love & respect the sport when the sport does the same for us.
year in & year out, every single international tournament, fifa or the refs find a way to get us out.
& dont even have the balls to explain what the foul they called was for.
fifa dont enforce it so they dont do it.
you would never see anything like this in american sports now because the last time it happened in the nba the official was banned from the nba for life.
we talk our sports seriously, fifa is all about its money & the teams of the members who hold positions at the top of fifa.

I had been following football and other games (Olympic/non Olympic) since the mid 80s, and I was amazed to see that a nation which dominates (or near the top) many games just does not appear in the scene when it comes to football. In fact they qualified for the World Cup finals in 1990 after a gap of 40 years (if I am not wrong). They were chosen as hosts in 1994 World Cup which was ridiculed very much by other countries as they were not in the fray for the last 40 years. It showed that FIFA was very much interested in including USA in the footballing arena. And why should they be against USA when USA is a big fish in world economy and global sports?
I (including many in the world) always felt that Americans always feel that "soccer" is for sissies, and that is why American Women's "soccer" team always were more famous than their male counterparts. American masses in general ALWAYS followed NBA or NHL or NFL or ice hockey more than any other sports, and they regarded NFL as "football", and they regarded real football as "soccer". Non-Americans will always nurture a belief that US masses "hates" football.
Coming to the other side, IT IS TRUE that for the last 10 years it has been seen that US men's national team (I dont follow women's NT much) has got many rough "treatments" or hard luck in global tournaments. This can be plain bad luck or some prejudice/favor of FIFA to some teams. It has been noticed that somehow host nations (South Korea in 2002) or big footballing nations have been provided unjustified favors just for may be better spectators.
I know RC is now fuming, and naturally so. If anyone sees such blatantly wrong refereeing decisions hitting his NT, he is bound to fume. Cool down man, at the end of the day it is US who triumphed, and history will remember the victors only (not how certain matches were played).

yea most of us think its a sissy sport, cause in reality compared to our major sports american football & ice hockey it is.

you dont respect us as a nation or as a football team & even if you say you do, most dont.
we separate ourselves from you, why i dont know, only 2 things i hate about europe, the french language & the british accent, but its not a personal thing, just cant stand it (no disrespect intended).
fifa fair play is a joke.
& the reason we still take part in international tournaments is because we are resilient as nation & no matter how many times you knock us down we always get up & come back.
hence the title granted to us by the fifa world, the comeback kids.

Wow it's great to see how Women's WC dicsussion has transformed to such an interesting topic.
Ok then all of you guys are mostly telling the truth.
Really it was funny to learn that regularcat hates British accent, though it's the genuine and original English (anyway I prefer American pronunciation too, it's more convenient)
The only thing I disagree is that the US team can't win the WC because of fifa.
Come on, let's refresh the memories.
e.g. 2010 WC
- the 1st game was 1-1 vs ENG and everything was all right, England even should have won though their football was rather crappy, but in the end the US team got 1 point thanks to Dempsey and Green.
- the 2nd game was against Slovenia and yes, there was a dumb ref who disallowed the goal, but it was common for many matches during that WC (Lampards's ghost goal, Tevez vs Mexico, etc..)
- the 3rd was against Algeria and the US wasn't playing that well, in the end though 92' goal by Donovan and qualification to round of 16
- Then there was a tight game against Ghana, both teams playing pretty well but Ghana was better in the end, that's it.
To sum up, taking this one WC for example, it was not FIFA who didn't let the US team win matches. The US team was good and nice but nod strong enough in the end. They really could have won England and Ghana but they wasn't able.
It's sports where 1 teams has to lose.
Maybe it's because lack of competetive opponents in North America, don't know really.
But being among the leaders at pretty most of sports and having some problems in football can easily cause hatred for that sport.
No disrespect, but barely every big nation has some complex about other nations disliking them for some sort of stuff.

That's true, but it's nice ingame... WPS is almost ready for release, and later I'll perhaps release add-on leagues. Are here people with knowledge of women players?
