WinXP wont let me play

I've got dead high spec on my p.c but i've also got Windows XP. Lets the side down slightly. Whenever i try to load World Cup it comes up with an error report, requesting to send it to microsoft. Which i did and made no difference. For some reason its let me play on it once though, but never again. I've downloaded loads of updates, but they do nothing.

It's given me a taste of what, but it wont let me have any more!
If any ideas, HELP!!

don't worry you didn't lose a thing after the first world cup the game is really boring, apart from the great effects when you score a goal, fifa 2002 is better :D

Once on my windows 98 computer i was beating Brazil 1-0 and i conceded a penalty the player who was tackled got injured and was substituted and when it told me at the bottom who had been substituted it went back to the desktop this is the first and last time it has happened weirdly.

This is the best solution for you. Install Win 98 too. Use Win 98 for games and XP for school or business stuff. Thats what I do. I don't bother using windows 2000 or XP for games. I have installed 98 which is my second OS and using it only for games. ;)

same problem with win2000

i'm having the same problem under win2000. FIFA started up once and worked correctly. windows won't let me start again. the screen turns black, freezes with my desktop in 640x480 for several seconds and then turns back to my desktop in normal resolution. i tried configuring my display- and sounddrivers, re-install the game... nothing helps! please, i'm getting sick... help!
