Basically, I have been really wanting WE... which comes out in a couple weeks. I currently have an Xbox and am wondering if it would be worth to buy a PS2 just for the purpose of owning WE?

I'll be frank with you here, I have never liked the XBOX and the way Microsoft have gone about the making of it. But that is for another day!

I own the original copy of WE7 & a copy of WE7I (the South Korean version)

I will say, these are the two games that I spend most time on (WE7 more than WE7I). Even if you don't like WE (which I siniserly doubt) when if you buy a PS2 you have other games too fall back on such as Metal Gear Solid 2 (Another fine Konami game) Gran Turismo and theres a whole load of new games coming out soon.

So if I were you I would go for it son, but I am somewhat biased

Sell your Xbox, then get a PS2 and whatever /WE/PES game you want. Even if you decide not to get the PS2 you should still sell your Xbox and use the moeny on something more worthy like some new underoos.

Yes I think so. I have an x-box as well and bought a ps2 also just for we7 and is what i spend the most time playing.

I definetly won't end up selling the Xbox because of Halo, and the Splinter Cell games but I think the arrival of PS2 in my household is imminent thanks a lot.

Anybody know anywhere i can't get the PS2 discounted or even the WE?

I say.......If you really want to have a good soccer game , then the PS2 is the only available choice at the present time, so that is what you got to think about....yes the Ps2 does not have the same graphics capacity as the BOX, but it has better games..I personally play all my sporst games on my console (and leave the FPS's to my PC) and I find that the Ps2 has a better selection at the PRESENT time..although this may change...I do not forsee the XBOX getting a decent footie game any time soon ;(

that's not true,Konami have confirmed that they are making a football game for the XBOX.

By the way Metal Gear Solid 2 is out for Xbox... i found nothing on the official Konami site on a new football game. I have heard the rumours as most people have about a coming Xbox football game from Konami. If anybody has any evidence of this I would greatly appreciate it because it could save me some money

I bought a PS2 only for WE6, now WE7. I had no other games, I didn't want any other games...

Likewise. I own a few other games, but only played them for a month or so when I first got them.
Played WE6 from the day I got home from Asia (where I got it) until the day I received WE7 in the mail.

It's worth the price of the game + the systerm, easily.
