Why won't the CPU teams buy up the best players?

I've finished a couple seasons in division 2 and 1 season in division 1...and big names like Davids are still available to buy.

This makes it rediculously easy to put together a killer squad in no time. Points are easy to come buy now that I'm in 1st division and, ironically, costs are 2/3s of what they used to be (even though my squad is many times more expensive to field).

Lookin' for a little competition off the field, too, at this point.

have u played with the ML settings? There are 3 of them that should make the CPU: (1) transfer more frequently, (2) snap up quality players, (3) make it more difficult for u to buy their better players

It's the opposite with me in Div 1 -- I get an offer here or there for my 1-3 top players, but I'd like to get more offers for my 4th to 10th best players, for example. This is on default setting, and I haven't bothered to tweak settings, as I don't even need the points anyway.

Overall, it seems like I don't get many offers on default, period.

Um...no kidding. :rolleyes:

What do I "fix" them, too? I've already got them set to what, as the descriptions say, should make the CPU AI tough and ambitious...but obviously it isn't working.
