my main point is that they should let us make the decision on who to play with .they can't make us play with any team they want that is not right. i bought the game and who i play with and how many time i play the game is my business. it should not be influence by some game programmers and marketing advisors who probably have a version of the game where they have everything9stadium, kits et cetera).

I don't understand your basic point. It is not like EA is sitting there with a gun to your head saying "You must play Fifa 2005, or else!" What is your business is your business, but your not the one who is investing millions of dollars into a game that you hope will sell. Of course there will be people who will not like the format of the game, and your one of them, and you can voice your opinion. But the way you describing EA is if they are immoral because of the format they created the game

You sound like somebody that has a basic anti-corporate philosophy, who think the rich are just sitting up there to oppress all the consumers, when really they have to produce a product that people will buy, not produce a buyer who will purchase the products they produce.

I'm not saying this to insult you. I just think that you need to see this in the proper perspective. The people are making this game to make money. And they will produce a game that most people will like, or they are going out of business. EA is real people trying to do what they think is best for the company. And if they can't, it's trouble. Even one of the other posters stated that when Winning Eleven get real licences, then there will be no competition. So EA is going to have to make the right choices to stay in business. They have to do better than Konami. So they're not going to make the game just because you say it's right or wrong, but what is going to satisfy the majority of the consumers over the competition.

The reason why you see most European faces is because of money. That is why you don't see almost none of the faces from U.S. players, because they don't sell this game a lot in the states. I'm probably one of there few buyers here.

Kakas face isn't in the game. They're may be many reasons for that. But one problem I do know, that piracy in Brazil is a huge problem, So EA isn't going to market to Brazil precisely because of that, because a lot of the Fifas sold there are pirated, so EA doesn't make any money from that. I know because I lived there for 2 and a half years. That is probably the reason why they don't create the other South American leagues. They probably make the majority of their money in Europe, so that is why they are going market for it their and customize the game to that market.

In the real world, the ones producing the game have real lives, with real families to feed, and with real market demands, not in some idealistic "la la" land.

I'm not saying you should not have an opinion, but to realize that you opinion may not be the majority. I myself like the career mode, and I think probably a lot of other people do also. That is probably why the game is the way that it is.

i payed for a game and if it peeves me i deserve the right to express my self. virtually people like yourself do not like it when someone criticizes the ineptitude of fifa developers .
it 's as if you expect everyone to be happy with every product they purchase. as i previously said i am a fifa fan but i cannot allow that to dissimulate my true feelings.i also don't understand the link between making faces and piracy.are you telling me that piracy is not rife in europe ?
i have no problem iif they give faces to the eruopeans but just as long as they are good. i expect the same for the non-european players as well.
the proviso is, if you are a good player you deserve a face .

i'm sure it also has something to do with obtaining rights to a team, for example, there is no Holland/netherlands team in the game because they don't have the rights to have them in the game.

even in euro 2004 game they had holland but the players were just Ned1, ned2, ned 3. etc...

do u see what im saying??

:o

thats crazy.

That's because the Dutch Football Association won't give the licensing to EA. It's been this way for years now, don't expect it to change any time soon.

It's just like back in the day when Michael Jordan wouldn't allow EA to use his name in the NBA Live basketball games. He did that for about 2 years or so...it was stupid, but that's how it goes sometimes.
