After a full day of exhaustive play, I'm finally bored of it. Come to think about it, comments on shabby goal posts and player size do hold water. Also, I find the shooting and ball physics still not looking as(sorry to compare) WE; looks like I need to wait till Euro2004 or later to finally get smoother animation that does not look unrealistic or jumpy. Nice try though, EA.. Just that you guys haven't understood that smooth realistic play(Animation ball physics blah blah) beats flashy graphics which my gfx card can't handle that well

Another thing - Is EA so gay as to partially remove OTB feature just because of their gay relationship with Logitech? Why is the skill button not included on a Sidewinder? I'd take out the Make Runs button if I were them. Without the Skill button, how am I to make my OTB players run into space?

Yes...the style over substance ideology today is really something that EA has caught on. Unfortunately it sells games! Millions of games. So, this graphical obsession at the cost of other things is just something that people like you and me are going to have to get used to.
In the old forum (at least I think it was this one) I used to participate when Fifa 2003 was new...at first we loved it, then we grew to hate it. I got back six months later to check things out...and it was all about the graphics! Everything. People was all exited about some Beckham earring patch...and some Ljungberg new hair do. And then there was this post...a guy had expressed his concern about how no one speaks about the crappy gameplay in the forum and that everyone is only concerned about graphic stuff. And, man...that poor fellow was called "idiot", "asshole", "Motha***", and every other degrading adjective you can think of.
Horrible.
I bet you it will be the same deal in a few months. The only thing keepíng this game alive will be the new and fan improved graphics.

I also had a sidewinder...but got rid off it. Microsoft has even declared that they will stop making gamepads. So, buy yourself a logitech. It´s cheaop and works very well with all kinds of games.

I don't know what to say...But the fact that I'm still playing from time to time FIFA'98 & FIFA'99 says it all,isn't it?They don't have extraordinary graphics,but I love them because you really enjoy scoring fine goals and the atmosphere is great.I might be old fashioned,but damn,I played the FIFA2004 demo for 13-14 hours and I had enough.Compare to that,I played FIFA 98 demo for almost 2 weeks, 4 or 5 hours/day....EA SPORTS,you must listen what the gamers has to say about your products!

thats very true!! i remember playing "Road to world cup" maybe 3 hours a day for two weeks were as i've played fifa 2003 for 2 hours for two days!!

Yeah...those were the days. Superb gameplay! Me and my friends used to rent the fifa games on playstation and play constantly for the entire weekend.

When I really, really like a game I can sit an entire day just gaming... The world around me just dissapears.
The last game that did that for me was Hearts of iron (strategy game).

It normal to get bored of a demo, you shouldn't over play the demo...

I think people are just being a little bit too critical. This is a demo for god sake, its 2 teams, 1 stadium and no commentary. I am a little bit bored with it, but thats because im playing the same match over and over. one thing i have to agree on is that they should have put the freestyle button on sidewinder. I myself use a sidewinder gamepad and I have 1 spare button which doesnt do anything, and I really want to try to freestyle moves.

it was fun for the first couple of matches, but to play the same thing for the 1000th time, its boring.......I uninstalled for now, will install later again, PC release in US pushed back to Nov...
