Although I am very shocked and saddened by the departure of Sir Bobby Robson, I must think forward and wonder who will take the job next. I personally think SHearer would not be best for the job because of his lack of experience. My picks would have to be Steve Bruce, Alan Curbishly, and Martin O'neil, does anybody else have any ideas of who it could be

Steve Bruce or Alan Curbishley sound like two good options. Altough i think getting Steve Bruce should be hard, because Birmingham made some massive investments and look like a strong side, with a good project for the future and with Bruce still ahead of them. Curbishley could do wonders in Newcastle also but dunno if Charlton are willing to negotiate him.
What about Gordon Strachan? A Newcastle offer should make him get out of his temporary retirement. He´s a pretty good manager in my opinion.
If Newcastle follows the current trend in the premiership in what concerns foreign managers (Mourinho, Benitez and Santini), Voeller could be one of the options.
About the Shearer possibility, i think that Newcastle needs an experienced manager with a "name" who´s reputation will boost the players and supporters confidence. It´s too soon for Shearer to take the Newcastle job, he needs to start in a smaller club and prove himself in order to get a chance in a such important position as Newcastle manager.
