Who stands the best chance of staying in the Premiership?

I know he is class, ive seen a lot of SAFC-s games this season. I agree he should be in the national squad, but a starter? In my opinion, Heinze showed that he is one of the best (if not the best) left backs in the world this season. Ofcourse that is just my biased opinion :p

Anyway, I hope that Sunderland and West Ham will survive in the EPL.

West Ham have a great youth system and some real quality youngsters in the squad however in the past they have not been able to keep hold of them - Defoe, Carrick, Lampard, etc and were sold for poor deals with a lack of sell on clauses, etc. Poor financial management.

They need more firepower upfront. I'm not sure if Sheringham is retiring now or is he giving the top flight another shot?

The Mackems have a decent manager and that's about it. Ok they're about to sign Stead but i can't see him having the impact which Palace's AJ had. They're off back down. They don't have the money to compete with the other two.

Wigan have money however teams have spent big in the past when coming up to the top flight and fallen like a stone, Bradford City for example. Difference is Bradford didn't have the money to sustain the premiership where as Wigan do.

I always hope at least one team stay up and i would say it's likely to be between West Ham and Wigan.

Make no mistake, Arca is all class. He will come good in the Prem and be one of the world's best LBs, IMO.
Thankyou.

Yeah I know he's not better than Heinze, but that's just because I don't like him. :)

Well, I personally think Wigan don't have what it takes to stay in the premiership. It's either West Ham or Sunderland. Wigan will probebly end up getting relegated Sunderland-style, and selling Roberts and Ellington. That's just a worst case scenario of course...but it could happen, even if they seem financially secure.

west ham have apparently got £20 million to spend as well. it depends on whether they spend well though. there's no point in having plenty of cash to spend if it isn't spent wisely.

The problem is said 20 million, thanks to our tight-arse chairman, includes wages, agent's fees and other transfer related costs, so the figure to actually spend is probably closer to 10 million. We'd need to spend at leasr 4 on a decent striker, and after that we need a RB, RM, CM, CB and possibly another GK. At least.

In reality, we're pretty screwed. Oh, and just to clarify, I believe there is a sell-on clause for Defoe.
