Vieri is letal...he don't make mistakes in the mouth of the goal...
Raul is splendid, but usually he misses good chances in front of goal.
Ronaldo is a fantastic player in some games ( the big ones, specialy).
Del Piero isn't a Stricker...
Thierry Henry is very speedy and smouth, but he's very poor in heading perfomance...
Trezeguet is very ...how can i say, particular; i depends on his good form.
Nistelroy is very good too...one of most completed strickers in the world, but still a litlle worst than Vieri.

VIERI, rarely misses a chance.He's quick enougth, fisicaly very powerful, excelçlent shot with both feets, excellent header, had a VERY NICE BABE(:crazyboy: :p :rockman: :D ) and he plays in ITALY, the worst League for a Stricker...i mean, the players that plays on forward positions receive a brutal marking system from that "CATENACCIO" defenses. So VIERI's the BEST!!!!!

Its like this for me:

Vieri: very good at finding scoring chances and fininshing and also dangerous in the air.

Raul: more of a support forward: is good at almost everything but nothing real stands out.

Ronaldo: What can I say. When playing good he is the best in the world but so far after coming back from the injury is way to inconsistant.

Henry: probably the best in the world right now. He has everythig except ability in the air.

RVN: a very class striker but really needs a lot of help behind him to score.

Del Piero: is more like Raul. He is a class player but doesn't score enough goals to be considered lethal.

Shearer: getting to old and is also inconsistant. Doesn't have much talent he just has a good work rate.

Inzaghi: has had a great season but is mostly a poacher type of striker.

Crespo: more like Inzaghi where he is an out and out striker and only looks for goal.

Trezeguet: NO

Shevchenko: after coming back from his injury he has been sh!*. He can't even be considered in the top 15.

You can really tell the difference in class between Shevchenko and Ronaldo when you consider Ronaldo was basically injured for 3 years and has already made it into the best 5 strikers while Shevchenko was injured for a much shorter period yet has still played like crap.

Tough one really....CURRENTLY it's a battle between Henry, Raul and Ruud Van Nostrilboy (footy365.com :))

Euronaldo isn't the BEST just yet....Bobo is great in Serie A this season but crappy in Europe..

Ruud seemed inconsistant at the beginning of this season. He could put 3 away in a game one week, 3 days later, he could miss 3 golden chances. With Beckham probably leaving, it will be interesting to see who whiskey conk brings in. :)

I'm sorry but how can can yall say Van Nistlerooy is better than Henry. Just because he scored more goals doesnt make him better to me. Henry makes harder shots and creates on his own. Van Nistlerooy is just always in the right spot in front of the goal getting a trash goal..... but thats just my opinion

Yes, there is several aspect we have to consider for great striker:
accuracy on goal, pace, creativity, header, speed, dribbling skill etc......
But different people have different preference, so dont try to challenge others choice!
