Oh my God man, come on!! Listen to the Unplugged album and you HAVE to change your opinion. That album is absolutely brilliant, and Cobain just had pure music in his soul. I wouldn't go so far as to say he was as great as Brad Nowell, but you can see the Jimmy Hendrix-like passion.

That was his band before Nirvana? Got any more info of them?

scream was formed in 1982 and signed for ian mackaye's label, dischord. they released a total of 7 albums from 1988 to 1998 with the last album being a live one. they also released 2 compilation cd's in 1993. they're original drummer wasn't dave grohl, but a guy named kent stax. 18 year old grohl joined the band in 1987. he drummed and sang on the next album and helped write the others after it. scream then went into "hibernation" in 1990 which led to grohl joining nirvana.

just additional info. hope it helps. :)

Ain't we all waiting for the day Guns N' Roses reunite and make another Appetite for Destruction-esque album? Bring on Axl, Slah, Duff, Izzy and Matt. :rockman: (H) :mrpimp:

Yeah that's what we've been hearing from Axl for the last decade. Besides the current GNR line-up represents nothing from teh good old GNR. I mean only Axl and the keyboardist Dizzy are from the original band.

The band closest to the original line-up is Velvet Revolver, it has Slash, Duff McCagan and Matt Sorum in it plus another guitarist and the Scott Weiland, former Stone Temple Pilots singer.

Aye, I kinda like them. Probot sounds canny as well.

Aye. Let's hear it for the 80's!

Also, 2004 should be a canny year for decent bands.

Razorlight - Hyped up by the NME. Should do okay, even if their music is a bit gay.

Franz Ferdinand - Gay but a bloody decent album.

The Futureheads - Class. Bit quirky.

Kasabian - Primal Scream with better vocals.

Doves - Their 3rd album is on it's way :D

British Sea Power - Working on their second album :D

yep, to be honest I'm a little more excited to see what Velvet Revolver can pull out, their album 'Contraband' is coming out in may.
As for Chinese Democracy, it looks like it's going to be delayed again because there's a new cd coming out 'Guns N Roses Greatest Hits' which is a big piece of crap because it features all the songs we already have (live era was a greatest hits already, we don't need another one) but the reason they are doing this is to let the people have some 'new' material so they can work more on Chinese Democracy
