Who the **** cares about the grasspatterns, the players shoebrands, if there are people around the pitch, if the crowd looks good, if the chants are correct, if the kits are correct or what teams you will play in your first game in Fifa 2004?

Really? Anyone?

All of you twelveyear-olds might think this is important but the rest of us have no interest in this whatsoever. Fifa 2003 sucks in a lot of ways and fixing the kits won't do **** for 2004. We want to know the following;

- Will the penaltytaking be more realistic in 2004? The penalties in 2003 was pure left-right luck.

- Will the ball have realistic physics? How many different ways will you be able to score? Playing Fifa 03 alot clearly shows the games flaws over time, the limited number of ways to score etc.

- Will there be more scrambling for the ball, more physical contact inbetween players? A realistic game with bad passes, bad crosses and lost control of the ball will be infinetly fun.

- Are the models reacting to eachother in a realistic fashion? Look at games like NHL 2004 and Madden 2004 where the production teams have created excellent player models who react to eachother in an exceptionally good way. Why is this so hard for the team that makes Fifa???

If someone in this forum who actually knows soccer and knows the answers to these questions please post them here.

The rest of you children please remember that we don't give a rats ass what your favourite team is or if Henry wears Nike or Adidas. No more dumb questions please!

i know it's what they want you to think but the videos on the fifa 2004 website did give me a bit of confidence that this game will be strong...although all these presentation videos are all very well but i would like a video of an actual game to see if they have solved the problems you talk about in your post.
from friends with both fifa 2003 and tif2003 (which i own) they said tif was the better game, playing wise but that game seriously lacked in the team management stakes so if fifa 2004 is as good as its producer says it is in that respect and if it's gameplay is at least tif2003's equal then i'll be satisfied..i haven't played a fifa game since 99 so i'm wondering if it has a through ball pass.

i like the on the fly aspect though. the producer is right, that will make a big difference.

i know i'm new as well but the guy, although his points about what needs to be improved in the game are good, needs to chill out, it's only a game of a game after all.

Totally Agrree - the time ea spent last year giving people wrist bands and earings, and carefully crafting exact kits WITH TWO SIDES TO THEM NOT ONE!!!! :rolleyes: could have been spent on realising the heading was s***, they should only concentrate on things like that when everyone has decided that fifa has perfect gameplay - (haha, like thats gonna happen) - have u seen what they r doing this year? - due to "popular" demand they have given each player non-simetrical faces! - wow that'll do loads - waste a bunch of memory for the sake of "12 year olds" (as u put it) seeing a freckle on someones face! - also they are making players muddy when in a rainy match!

for f***s sake ea get ure priorities right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps. great post after: "which team will u play with" and "what will your first game on fifa 2004" answer to both - whichever teams are in the demo!!!!!

Well... yeah, but i'd been playing 2003 for quite a while now and i just have to say the gameplay is not really all that bad(specially if you only watch premier ligue matches), in regards to penalties i think they did it that way so it gets more competitive in two player matches, the scoring, yes, specially the crossing stuff gets a bit too repetitive after a while an the fouls too, talking about the small things i have to say just f****n hate those stupid linemans, the off-side plays are wrong too.
