Gerrard is a good bloke and a good player. Honestly, I think it's kind of pathetic to hate a player because of where he plays.

absolute legend indeed for any decent Porto fan, I'm not saying you or any Benfica should like him.

He was on loan from PSG with you guys, realized the club was a mess from the board to the technical staff plus its ability to win basically f'ck-all as of late.
Meanwhile, Benfica decided to cancel negotiations with the player and he had an offer from Porto that was most likely better in financial terms and definitely better in sporting terms.
He took it and the next year clinches domestic League and Cup and also manages to play a brilliant CL reaching the QFs.

So I reckon he did it for not being stupid above any other reason dude...

Great player, no doubt about that. But still a mercenary, no matter what you or any other Porto fan say to defend him.
To clarify: I don't despise C. Rodriguez because he moved to Porto, but because of his attitude and lack of ethics.
