im afraid that with the talarias, it wont last long as its not the top model, and mercurials do tend to get damaged quite easily, though i only play 2-3 times a month...plus, its a bit too smooth, hows ball control?

with the preds, couldnt find an FG one, so gettin the SG, since ive never owned any SGs before, how are the metal studs? do they last long or get loose and fall off quite easily? replacements?

pros and cons please...:)

oo! oo! oo! Lemmie help! I'm obsessed with boots! (note: that was supposed to be funny). But seriously, my comments:
First: I'm curious as to your experience with vapors and their lack of durability. Anyone I've known that's used them has had them last for an incredibly long time (one of my best mates has been wearing the same pair of vaps for 3 full seasons). Talarias are purportedly nearly as durable, if not quite having as good traction or touch. People have described them as "like not wearing any shoes at all." For this reason, can be dangerous when getting stomped on. Anyway, if you're into the vapor route, I'd try to find vapor iii's if you can, as they should be about the same price as the current gen talarias, and are somewhat lighter and have a stiffer sole.
Now, the predators: Better shot, k-leather touch (if you're insistent on leather boots; some people are. my k-leather boots have seemed to fall apart quickly). If curve is your thing, they're the best boot line on the market. A wee bit on the heavy side, though. Finally, regarding your question on SG boots: they're really bad unless you're actually going to be playing on soft ground- especially the adidas x-TRX setup on the predators. On firm ground, the studs will get loose and fall out, you'll have nasty pressure points on your feet that hurt like hell, and you'll slide on especially hard ground - not good.
Before I continue, what's your playing style? It helps a lot in boot selection.

anyway, just wanna ask, regarding the metal studs, saw diff styles of em, regular and round, short and long...if it is exactly like the ones on the Pulses that i posted, short n regular, would it be still a pain to use them on FG surface?

I have the older f30's and they're fantastic...very comfy, goes pretty much right along my foot. SO, I suggest you get the newer ones. I really like how the laces are nicely hidden.

They aren't any shorter than the round studs, they just look like it because they're elongated. And they actually fall out faster, since they're snap in as opposed to the round screw in type. And harder to get replacement studs for, too.

In my opinion, you should do a bit of research and try a few pairs on in a sports shop. Football boots should compliment you and your requirements first and foremost. I one bought a pair of nice adidas boots based on their looks and I couldn't play in them (they destroyed my feet - ripped them to shreds)

So I urge you to try before you buy.

i did try all 3 of them...nice and comfy for both preds and bit "thin" feeling on the talarias, though im not complaining, i like its short blades though...

i really like the Pulses, but am afraid i wont be able to use it that much cause of the metal studs...im gettin a pair on the weekend, though am still undecided on w/c to get...

yeah, thats what bothers me aswell...them falling off and being not able to find it...though i am gonna buy spares if i do get the Pulses...

interesting little thing...was going around for boots when i saw beck's golden boots for his 100th cap for england being sold here in hong kong (adidas n footie shops) not as a limited product but as a regular release, bit pricier than the regular predators though, the reg ones are $990HK, while the goldens are $1040HK.

i just thought they wont be sold like zidanes, plus even these sites/blogs say they wont be released to the public, and its not even in prodirectsoccer...

hmmm...maybe i should get these instead...
