What the **** are you talking about? In 2003 you won the title with Beckham on the right assisting a huge % of RVN's goals. Also remember is performance when he was brought on by Fergy against Real Madrid in the quarter final 2nd leg of the champions league? The bloke nearly single handedly put you through. Fergies ignorance not playing him from the start had you knocked out.

I was talking about the times when Beckham didn't play during the title run-in (not the whole season which I didn't mention) We played just as well without him as we did when he was in the squad.. if not better IMO. The results clearly show that, as did what I saw at the time. Beckham is not as good a player as he was then IMO - maybe not by much, but it's noticeable. Therefore, we don't really need him anymore. I'd much prefer Manchester United to bring in a younger player who has more of a future at the club, than buy back Beckham.

I remember that performance. I know that he was and is still a great player - that fact can't be denied! but as I've said already, I'd rather see a younger player with a bigger future at Manchester United.

excuse me ,i meant because Camoranesi PLAYS in Italy ,not that he is Italian.My cock up.And i wasn't laughing at him ...he is a fine player man,i was laughing because i thought you might mention someone like him.As for Del Pierro,I have massive respect for him ,i have seen him play some fantastic football in his career and i admire him greatly.The fact that he might be struggling a little does not diminish him in my eyes.When any great player goes thru a hard time ,i prefer to remember what he has done up to that moment and i for one,do not write off any great player as a has been.Del Pierro ,like Beckham has earned lifelong respect from me......
