Where did my First Touch go?

I have a Thrustmaster FireStorm Dual Power 4 gamepad, and I recall first touch being in both FIFA 2005 and UCL 04/05 in the right analog stick. However in FIFA 06 the right analog stick does nothing, nada. Shift-arrow works just fine on my keyboard, however I want First Touch on my gamepad too. Is it just a problem of a incompatibility between my gamepad and FIFA or do you encounter the same problem with other Dual Analog controllers too?

Solution:

If you have a similar problem and you own a Thrustmaster gamepad, here is the registry file you need to use. Just download the zip, extract it, double-click on the REG file and click Yes on the confirmation screen. Voila! Your Thrustmaster gamepad works with FIFA. You can confirm it by checking for "Thrustmaster analog controller" under the key mapping screen.

It is recommended that you also download and use the latest Thrustmaster drivers.

Should you decide to install the above drivers, make sure you uninstall any Thrustmaster drivers before you install the new ones.


UPDATE: If after you change the name of your gamepad in REGEDIT, you find that one of your sticks' axis is inverted, follow the suggestions below:

Anyway, workaround for the invertion-problem with the pad:

You can change the axis with regedit too!
Go to yor gamepad in the registration, and go to the folder "axes". There you got 4 more folders. look in folder "2" and "5". Change the "32" and "35"
in these folders. And the axes work...

yeah i have a saitek and everytime i get the ball it runs off to the right straight to the opposing team ive tryed reinstalling see what happens

And just why would I want to uninstall the Force Feedback drivers? The latest (1.2005) drivers have huge improvements in most games.

Anyone know what exact registry value I could use to get a close result to my Dual Power 4?

Please, Can someone do the same for "Microsoft Sidewinder Dualstrike USB"?

This is the name i had to change my PS2 gamepad at the registri, to use it at fifa 2004 & 2005. I'm sure, a lot of peolpe will be thankful.

The problem with clonic pads, is the same, the second dual pad, doesn't work

Help. Please

I would make the file for you, I don't have a problem, but checking the list of supported gamepads, I don't see Microsoft's one in the list. Do you want me to use another gamepad? If yes, then which one? I'll make the file straight up for you.

Thanks a lot, i've changed the name of my pad at regedit, and 2nd stik works, but Axis are inverted or something. up is left, down is rigt, os something else. what a kaos :S

I've named my pad as Logitech Dual Action. Every year people wich hasn't suported pads, need to change this at the regedit.

If you can helpme to improved, i'll try to make a tutorial.
