what's up with the AI not scoring in WE8?

In PES4 the scoring in games varied all the time. sometimes you'd get low scoring games, sometimes the AI would go nuts and score 2 or 3 in a half.
In WE8 every single game is low scoring. I started a league on 6 stars and my keeper has 5 clean sheets in a row! what happened?
I like the low scoring games and all, but this is getting rediculous.

Anyone else noticing this?

Heh!....5 clean sheets. Well, I was renting the game and I took it back. After over 30 games I conceded 5 goals. 6 stars as AS Roma. Granted, theyre a good team to star with but 6 stars should SPANK you. It does not . Alas, the AI can at least score in WE7. Theyre just no good in WE8 it appears.

Very strange! I hear a lot of peoples saying We8/Pes4 is too easy on 6*, even easyer than Pes3/We7. Form me both of them compared to last years game is a veeery tough fight. Actually I'm quite bad at it, I admit. At Pes3 I won 95%, draw 4% and lost 1, but it's oh so different now. And CPU scores against me almost in every game, and not only once usually. All those crazy through balls and standing keeper things when they shoot from outside.
I's rather say that in previous installment of pes/we I conseded as much in the whole season (ML) as I could scored agaisnt them in 5 matches together.

if you want an "interesting" game...put the form arrow on red for the ai team(and if you really want to spice things up,put yours on grey ) then we will see if you still will make such a thread.
it is true that the AI aint relly god (especially if your a good player)but i notice that when you play away(especially during cup finals ect,)
the AI does get interesting.
anyway,is their such a big diffrence between WE8i AI and the PES4 AI ???
i've got both games but still havent played much with WE8i as i'm to attached to all the modif i have done in PES4....is their an option file converter for PES4 to WE8i?

well i can tell you that my games in PES4 were more like 4-3, 5-3, 3-0, and things like that.
In WE8 they are all 0-0, or 1-0.

it could be just me, but i think WE8 has changed the AI so that it doesn't score anymore. It's also harder for me to score as well.

and yes, one of the option file editing tools for PES4 works with WE8. You just open up your PES4 option file and "save to" the WE8 option file. I can't remember which app it was. Search the forum a bit and you should find it

I just got my ass kicked by Arsenal 7-2 so the low scoring AI isn't bothering me too much at the moment! This after beating Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge at night in the rain with one minute left in the game. You'd think my players would be on a phychological high! Nope - they were all either green or blue for the Arsenal game and I got kicked up and down the field all game. Rooney got laid out in the 5th minute, Smith came on as a sub and got carried off after Viera took him out from behind and then I retaliated with Keane and got sent off.

I'm waiting until I've calmed down a bit before playing the next game, even if it is at home to West Brom!!!

I went from PES4 to WE8I and the scores have stayed the same for me. The computer still scores on me.....occasionally. My D is rock solid.

lost to Arsenal at home
lost to Manchester at home
lost to Manchester away
tied Chelsea at home
lost to Chelsea away
won against most of the rest
pretty much what I expected.......
Arsenal and Manchester are the two that score the most goals against me, Arsenal went on a 3 - 0 run before I scored on them, and Manchester did the same thing.

What does "Something in WE8 not as good as it was in PES4" mean when WE8 was released before PES4?

If you're talking about WE8I PC US, you should specify that. Just a thought.

good point. yes, i'm talking about WE:8I. the one that just came out for PC.

and btw, i'm not saying one is better than the other. I'm just curious if anyone else is noticing the AI not scoring as much as they did in PES4. Seems like i'll need to play some more games.

Frankly, I honestly cant beleive some of you think theres a diff between the Euro PES 4 and the N Amer. WE8. Ive seen such craziness here such as 'they changed it for the American release--so its more like the Americans are used too.'

I could almost whole heartedly guarantee you for the last time, they are the same game. Quit dreaming of the little tweaks made between releases---it never ever happens which is what shocks me of hearn 4-3 on PES and 1-0 on WE8. If anyone has a link clearly stating the programming changes done for WE8i ill listen. Other than that, you guys are all complicating things big time.

The AI is truly a joke. Wolf, I wish I could fear Aresenal like that. LOL....they scored on you 7 times. I didnt get 7 goals on me in a whole season on 6 stars. At leats your havin fun. No.....lol....7 goals. Those monkeys cant score on me for nothin. Took the rental back.

If youre havin trouble, heres my points to success. Go with the 3 forwards. 3-3-4 was what I was usin. The one with one DMF and 2 OMF. Its offensive and allows both mid and wing play. In WE you willl not be a Master till you master the ATTACK level thing. You will get SCORED on if you dont pull it all the way back at set peices and when theyre down near goal and conversly have it up when youre attacking. Big Tip: Use the Zone Press. If you go Semi Auto for Strategy, set it as the ONE button you can use anytime. Like on Xbox it was my white button. Ive got solid tips and advice for days when it comes to WE8 or any previous version. Just ask. Like new thing in 8 on FK's: if ya want the ball to go straight, put OUTSIDE spin on the ball--that is, outside of how his foot naturally curves it. Itll make it fly pretty straight with only about a 5% curve in that direction. So with Right foot guy, hold right spin to keep it straight.
Oh, and do the Double tapped cross--youll get a diving header alot.

Have you actually played both?
I've played PES4 on PC, and WE8i on xbox and PC, and i personal believe there are some minor differences. That being said, if a developer came out and said "hey look, it's the exact same code" i wouldn't be all that surprised.

i don't think they changed it to suit americans. WE:8i sells in a lot more coutnries than just america.

I think they tweaked it a little to make a better overall product.

Wow there are definitely things that are different in We8i compared to PES4. Now my men can sprint towards goal and sometimes they can get through even if a defender is hassling them...without falling dow. In PES4 I usualy had to use R2 to dribble around them.

I thought this would make the game easier but it doesnt cos now the AI dribbles like mad and it's hard to get the ball from them.

I used to win 2-0 3-0, 2-1...on 5 stars, now I find it hard to score. The AI marking has improved too.

Is it something to do with Wolf increasing the players stats ?? Cos I noticed lots of differences in a lot of players.

To the guy who needs programming code to prove there are changes...sorry I can't find any. But based on posts here I think most people 'feel' there are changes.

Maybe the reason why 90% of us feel differences whilst you don't is, as you pointed, due to the fact that you are a superman player, exceptionally gifted and a genius master of games.

In which case, I pity you. Whilst most of us have found a whole new different game in We8i, you are doomed to master every game you lay your hands on within 2 mins and then have to return it. So all I can say is, continue masturbating whilst you wait for PES5 and let the rest of us continue enjoying We8i.
