yeah I agree too, WE8 is better.. but the online play definitely makes WE9 worth getting.
Crap....Konami actually just released a WE9 PC for the Asia market. There's English(asian) servers along with spanish, English...etc. 
Why do they have to release so many versions on PC now? I thought it was only PES5 and WE9(US). Now there's 3 for the PC. Worst thing is they never really bothered to make an official announcement about the WE9PC for Asia.

I dont know about u guys but I dominate matches with very bad teams over the likes of ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal, etc.... To be good at this game u actually have to stop and think, go SLOWER with the ball, keep possesion as much as u can, use supercancel like it was your wife.
WE8 was just so damn easy. I would beat teams 8-0 in a CL final. that was no fun
Im not bragging about my skills though. Im just saying that I think the gameplay has gotten harder therefor making it better. Other aspects of the game REALLY REALLY suck!!!!!! unless you patch or get an option file like I did. THan it becomes way better.
And the CHANTS!!!OMG!!! U can actually hear some chants like COME ON CHELSEA but it sounds so horrible. The dudes that patch over at evoweb do 90% better job than konami. I mean are there any rules against CHANTS???? for licensed teams??

WE9 is so much better than WE8. You definately have to slow your game down. Whatever you do, DON'T chase the game. I find you have to think more tactical when approaching games and it seems that individual player skills are far more important. Definately harder than previous versions and definately the best footy game I've ever played.

Gameplay Wise- We8 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> WE9
I cannot emphasize enough how much We8's gameplay is suprior to we9's.
However, because of better online play system, I do suggest you get we9.

Well, I find We9 to be superior in gameplay to We8. In We8 I could very easily beat any team, even Real with 14 to nothing scores, I could dance around the defence, and keep complete possession of the ball most of the time. You call that better?. With We9, I'm 7th on the table, It is extremely difficult to control games completely, I even had 3 straight 0-0 scores, just because I couldn't find a way to get between the opposition's lines.
We9 is a more tactical game, expect to be spending some time modifying your formation for different teams.
In the overall presentation, it has nothing new, this is essentially We8 with Online, if you want to see it that way. There are very few improvements in this department, but if you're a fan, you should notice them, like the ability to play cup games in League Mode, and the weather dynamics for winter.
Like I said, I do believe the gameplay is better, I don't know what the other guys here are talking about, or if they have even played the game seriously. You will not be able to score so easily on corners and lobs as you did on We8, a more chance dependant approach has been taken this time. This means you will hit the post more, defenders will interfere more, and even the way you hit the ball will matter, if you're not good at timing, you'll hit the ball out of target most of the time.
The "middle-shoot" feature is excellent, you'll love it, and also the new chip-shot function. Finishing plays has more control, if you master it, you won't miss at all, again if you're really bad, expect alot of open net, 10-foot misses. :fool:
There is no more of that instant passing either, this time you have to actually think before you pass, move the player into position well, hold the button long enough, or have the appropriate ball control to make certain passes.
The player movements are slightly better aswell, using super-cancel does add alot of more control to reiceiving the ball, but there are also other button convinations that have been improve, like letting the ball run without touching it with R1, then regaining control to move faster on a counter-attack.
I'll make it simple, if you liked We8, just get We9, you'll love the online play, and all the other little extras. You may need to spend sometime getting the hang of it, but it will still feel like you're right at home.
It's not perfect, don't expect that, though it is the best football game around.

i've played about 7 or 8 matches now on 3* and WE9 just feels like a better game overall. in fact, they improved a couple things that drove me batty in WE8. one improvement i really like is the way a wayward pass or deflection is fair game. my players respond in a more realistic way and i feel i actually have a chance to recover a loose ball, especially one in a good position. and i like that tackles along the sideline don't automatically send the ball over the touch line 9 times out of 10.
it does seem the referee is waaay whistle-happy. i've had to back off a lot on defense. but i've also noticed that you have to wait and get stuck in at just the right moment. that's pretty cool.
goals look better too. i just planted a shot off the far post and into the back of the net and it really looked like a shot, not just the same loopy trajectory that somehow goes in but only looks good on the replay. the shooting touch is much better too.
the only gripe i have is with the atmosphere. normally, i could care less about flash bang presentation and commentary (i've had it turned off permanently since WE6) because the gameplay is solid. but in this release the crowd noise and sound effects are so flat that it kinda detracts from the match. someone else noted this and i agree that the chants are just lame. after a while, especially with the volume up, the crowd just becomes rhythmic white noise. sure, the gameplay is the focus and i applaud that but i could live without a couple perks to create a warmer, more raucous feeling in the stadium.

ok. I just recently got WE9 here for $39.95.
It's been a year I've been absent playing WE series. The energy bar under players' names adding the extras on this game. I love it. I don't think I'll be able to play online with other ppl SG here.
