What's the diff between CM4 and FIFA 2003?

hi there...was just looking around and noticed this forum..so can someone please tell me whats the difference between CM4 and FIFA 2003...i know one's a managment gme and the other is a playing game...so if u got the time i'll be glad if i can get a summary of what goes on in that game...if you say its good...i might go buy it ..thanks

Championship manager 4 is a management game. You can't play as a player, you can only manage.

FIFA03, you play as a team, no management skills are involved.

CM4 is like TCM, USM98 etc.

thanks for the reply!!! ...the stats aspect of football is really my kinda thing...but why is it EA doesn't combine this sort of game with their FIFA series?

Well, when it coems to FIFA, more attributes = Higher spec machine.

Yeah, CM and FIFA2003 are very different games.

They are starting to get a bit more similar, CM now has a match engine (be it only a 2D one) and FIFA2003 is improving in the importance of formation and transfers but they will always be very different.

Actually they are, TCM 2003 is made by EA SPorts and has a 3d match mode with uses the FIFA 2002 engine. Next years tcm 2004 will use fifa 2003.

the fifa 2002 engine sucks if you use it in a management game. there are just a few ways you can score. That's why I always use the text mode . TCM isn't that bad, but CM is just better .

I like the deature in TCM telling the penalty takers were to hit the ball and shouting from the touchline. That's cool.

Yea the 3d Engine aint perfect. But u should try downloading the patch from our site. Make the 3d engine much better, but yea still nto perfect. Hopefully 3d Engine in tcm 2004 will be better. TCM is really different from CM. CM is more with realism but TCM I guess like Tycoon type a game. TCM 2004 sounds very cool though. EA Sports just released some mroe info. And EA SPORTS germany seems way better than the guys workign with fifa. Their support is very good having a good official site, and releases quite a few patches. And are always around the forums listening to advice of fans.

I have never tried TCM, or any other management sim for that matter. I am happy with the great CM

I would not call it great, CM has taken a major dent here with CM4 and all the bugs/issues.

It needs something else, not sure though. I hope for better sounds in CM03/04 certainly. I hope for unique team chants too. That would be superb. Listening to the crowd hit the stadium with some bubbles.

It's still a long way off though of being perfect. FIFA was the dogs bollocks until Konami came along with PES. I just wonder if there will be a rival to CM soon.

FIFA was all I played on my old mega drive and playstation

then they started releasing games late and they were crap when they were released! Then I moved to ISS/PES
