What's next for our Western non-importers?

I'm playing We6I to death right now. I love it, but the feeling I have now playing it isn't the same as when I got ISSPE last year. The PS1 game just had more realistic pacing, ya know? Sometimes, WE6I just boils down to this ping pong ball simulation, where either I or the computer score lightning fast, extremely cool looking but unrealistic goals. That's when it gets annoying.

So what's next for us in the West? I know some guys are playing imported copies in the States right now, but that is beyond me. And I have been looking for concrete news on WE7 for ages, and there wasn't even any at E3 (Konami's booth was dominated by Metal Gear Solid 3 and Castlevania). So when am I going to be able to give Konami a chance to better themselves?

Next year for justus though, right? I mean, the last two years, the European crowd got their fixes around Christmas, and then the Japanese got their Final Editions. Are we going to have to wait until March every year for the European rehash rather than the Japanese remodel? That would suck @ss.
