If you see it?

Just picked this bit of Info from EA's community forum..

"the demo is from final code.. fifa doesnt release beta demos. the demo is what it is a demonstration of how the game plays to make up your mind wether you will buy it or not.. they never said they would release a beta demo.. we asked this on the first chat.. the answers are somewhere I'm sure.. and they said is ea sports policy to not let any beta code available to public"

This is a post from a guy in EA's ComForum saying that he spoke to EA.

So any faults glitches bugs AI or otherwise you see in the demo will be in the released game, the demo is not beta but final code!
All the post I have seen over the years in here and other forums where guys tell us that any faults AI bugs or whatever will be fixed in the Fianl release are talking *ull*hit.

EA do NOT release Beta code demos.!

What you will see in the demo , IS what you will get in the released game.

I never knew this until today, I thought that the demo's over the years were Beta and the bug faults or whatever would be fixed in the final released game... I know better now.

Hmm... I dont know if I can belive that. Because if you for example play the 2003 demo its a whole lot different from the actual game. I actually think that in some things its actually better then the complete game.

Well, in some strange way I liked the fifa 2003 demo more then the full version. The gameplay felt better in some way and when I got the real (full version) game i got dissapointed :/

first of all... I wrote that post on the community forum... and I never said I spoke with EA about it... thats what they said on the first EA chat when the people on the chat asked about the possibility of a Beta demo... so dont go putting words in other people's mouth just to make it seem more impacting...

and by the way think about it.. the demo comes out in early october.. the game in late october.. do you really think they are gonna have to make big changes to the game after the demo comes out?

well actually i just downloaded the demo, jsut for the sake of it, and guess what there is something in there that makes it more fun perhaps it is the uncontrolled crosses or the headers... nah.
J.K.

I've never played a FIFA demo that wasn't exactly representative of the final version. If the demo is crap don't expect the gameplay to be any better in the final version but if the demo plays well then you're in for a good full version too.

the gameplay in last year's demo was a bit different from the final game and i think they solved 1-2 probs with unrealistic bounces of the ball so no1's to say that the demo will represent the game 1:1...thank you plz

That's not true. The guy's a moron. Everyone know's that often demo's don't represent the entire quality of a game. Besides, if it was the final code why don't you think they'd release it when the demo came out? They're not morons...

Sorry Val.

I took it as you posted it , it was referring to you in "we asked this on the first chat"

but it does not change the fact the words in the post are EA's and what is in the demo is what you will get "Good or Bad" in the released game.

As this is a family show i will not reply to the guy that called me a moron, how he figured that out when all I was doing was passing on EA's words .. not mine! It says , the demo is just to see if you want to buy the game , not as a test for fixing all faults... if there are faults then ergo the final game will have these same faults.

i think he meant to call me a moron for posting that.. if the demo was from beta code.. and they wanted users input.. it would be already out.. the demo is coming in early october.. with the game coming out in late october..

Demo is not for fixing bugs, it's a marketing strategy. You get rid of bugs through beta testing using their own testers.

Some companies however take a different stance on this, releasing the demo well before the game, and fix large amount of bugs. But this is not the case with EA, as demos are released usually less than a month before the game. i.e. the time you get response, the deadline will already has passed.

And fixing bugs, and then testing that the fix actually works, and also doesnt cause more bugs, will take longer than that...

I wouldnt expect EA to fix ANYTHING major from the demo version to the final version. It is basically not possible. You cant just do that overnight (or indeed in one or two weeks).

"a post from a guy in EA's ComForum saying that he spoke to EA."

But eitherway I disagree with what you had to say on the issue.

spot on, if the game demo comes out at the start of October that's the same time all the retailers are gonna be getting sent it, as you said on EA forums all testing is done before the Demo si released, hope they have caught everything this time

I hope they fix all the bugs before the demo comes out too cause i still have faith that this year the game will be great. (H) Let's wait to see if they don't give us a game with some stupid bugs like in the final version of 2003...
