What makes you love/enjoy football?

Tosiek

There's nothing in the world, that could be more enjoyable than football for me. Football takes away all the tension and stress of the day. It's a beautiful game and the fans are more passionate about the football than other sports. I can't imagine my life without it. Half of people I met in my life was because of football. It's just a way of life.

I know that stupid comments will appear here sooner, than I can expect, but I really would like to know what makes you watch it, play it, talk about it etc. I want to get to know the phenomenon of football in each country.

If you don't have anything sensible to say and you just want to boost your post-count, than will be better if you negative rep me.

The MAGIC that certain players bring. Henry, Ronaldihno, C. Ronaldo, Rooney, Fabregas, Gattusso, etc. etc.

Whether I love em or hate em, I watch the game because these players were born with the abilities that some of us do not posses in games.

Meh, I don't know... football is okay. Great 5% of time, but mostly frustrating really as it could be so much more.

That "football isn't a matter of life or death, it's bigger than that" thing is a nice gimmick, but is complete rubbish tbh :D

seriously, what in the world is wrong with you? sure some people [including myself] are passionate about their teams and it has effects on your mood if your club or country wins or loses. but a feeling that is undescribable? what the ****? there maybe are 2 or 3 feelings that I'd consider undescribable: love, hate and probably condolement. at the end of the day, football is nothing you really care about, or is it?

I for one love football for a couple of reasons: chumminess [is that a word?], heated discussions about tactics, players, managers etc. when watching it with my mates, the anxiety I feel when benfica/portugal has a big game, certain players like figo and rui costa that I admire, the pure beauty of the game, and ... the betting :mexican:.

making the perfect pass through 3 defenders and having the ball go right onto your strikers foot, hearing the sound of the ball against the grass as you make that trough ball, being in another mental state, or "in the zone" and dribbling around players like it was scripted, watching the spin on the ball as you take a shot from 20 yards out and seeing the keeper helplessly dive for the ball, seeing the faces of your opponents as they are fatigued trying to keep up with you all game, the sweat dripping down your face indicated how hard you have been working all game, hearing the final whistle in victory..thats why this game is beatiful and thats why I love it.

Well if football is what you think about in the morning... what you want to do while youre sitting at work or in class and what you dream about at night, i would describe t as undescribable yes....

Football can make you feel just like about anything. When you think your team will win after scoring in the 90th minute, you can feel pissed off when the other team equalises with the last kick of the game. And when you see players score the spectaculars, you can either feel shocked or amazed at the amazing piece of beauty. And then there's the humour element, let it be the funny little things on the pitch or the little boys fight on the grass. (think Diogo and Luis Fabiano)

to start with...the game is so short as compared to cricket...no annoying adverts in between (except in the half time)...plus it brings out all the emotions in me during the game....
when i am playing ( i play LB btw..) I dont score goals but it feels damn good when u see ur opponent feel disgusted when he couldnt get the ball past u.

i love this game.
