Championship Manager is a manager based game on football (soccer). Take control of your favourite team and lead them to success and get known as the best manager on the game. Take the tactical path, design your own tactics and formations and upload them for others to download and get a name for yourself.
SI games should make me a CM salesman

I would also like to point out that out of all the management games, CM is by far the most realistic, challenging, impressive and enjoyable to play

But the CM4 Demo comes out tommorow (28th Feb) so I would just wiat till then. As Kader siad due to the massive popularity of the game the SIgames page will probably crash so you may have to wait a couple more days

Nope. Well, in CM4 which is out around early April you have a 2D match view. Crap? Yes.
As for what Sir_Didier_Drogba said, the game is not challenging, it is piss easy. Too easy. And as for realistic? No. Tactically, USM98 just pisses all over CM, and that game was 4 years before CM, so it shows how far behind SI games are.
Soon a new management game will come along, and it will have everything a managerial game.
You can download USM98 for free now by searching yahoo. It's so old, you can't purchase it anymore, but I think www.sierra.com who made the game put it up for downloads. K-man, this is not warez talk, so don't even think about it.

2d system is the best evolution ever of CM...
you think 3d system of TCM is good? its crap... because it have a very limited plays and dribblings, types of shots, etc... 2d system not, because you can imaginate the situations, in CM3 you can imaginate the situations too but its different because you don't have the sense of position of the players in the pitch...
in the 2d system of CM4 you don't see the same play twice... you can see the dribblings, the shots, etc and you can imaginate how it is! in TCM you can only see what is in your screen! except with the commentary system that is good too, but is poor compared with the commentary sys of CM...

Listen here you. The 2D engine is only good for one thing. Matching the commentry up to help me with my tactics on CM01/02.
The 2D engine is the biggest pile of wank out. So you can see dribblings and shots? Wowsers, fancy coming over to my house and listen to paint dry or watch grass grow?
