What if offsides were only call if you were only in the 18yrd box

Do you think that would be a good idea if they only called offsides if the player was behind the defender and was in the 18yard box instead, the game would be more free flowing i guess and maybe more goals would be scored. And because of the line markings the lineman could see make a decision a little bit more accurate. Do you think this would be a good idea or not and state why or why not

way too many goals would be scored, and defenders would just end up staying on the 18 yard mark. or behind it.

good point about the defenders but im sure it wouldnt be too many goals because the defenders could find ways to defend against this rule

It has already been tested with youth teams.

I'm not sure about defendres, but the striker was ALWAYS waiting on the 18 yards mark.

I don't like the idea.

The kind of idea Blater would have. Quite scary.

You can't just see it as an attacking point of view. The play would be stretched out from one penalty area to the other.
And the art of offside would disappear. and would make things impossible for defenders.

Though atleast you didn't ask for no offsides... without offsides the game is totally gay and some people in my Phys Ed classes have taken advantage by just standing infront of the goal...

And they consider themselves great strikers... what the f*ck?

lol PE is absolutley the worst place to play soccer. i end up having to play with some fat kid who doesn't run versus the entire combined PE class and apparently other PE classes. The game usually ends up Me 2-Entire rest of the class 0

oh yeah, ill take a good keeper, just because i absolutley refuse to play keeper.
