Yeah thats always the problem. Four or five players get elevated beyond belive, the rest ignored. I remember when Rooney was first discovered - literally the only non transfer changed in that patch were Chelsea getting a £100m budget, Leeds getting a £0 budget and Rooney becoming world class.

Evra is hugely underrated too, and Giuly. In fact why not just make all the Monaco lads about 40 more in their current ability? :ewan:

What have i said, he was saying that no patches edit stats and this thread shows why, people just compain that the stat changes are unrealistic, if you really want the stats to be changed then change them yourself. Look at Ebonix, i guess he isnt a united fan but i could be wrong.

Its because of this that patch makers don't edit stats that often, because it aint worth the agro that comes with it.

When I edit them myself I am too biased :$

Thats a good point, its the bias that cause people to think that players have had ther stats increased too much or whatever

I hate it when the patch makers leave out super talents because they think they aren't real.

Somebody said to me that in a new update they removed Tim Janssen from the game:kader: He''s real ffs

And a huge talent, forget you not.

I liked how Vitesse's talents were overrated in CM3 01/02 and CM4, but realistically the -1s in their potential this time around is more credible. :(

Rick Kluiskens always turns into a very decent player though for me (Y) In my PSV game he was my back-up for Van Bommel for years, and after that Keizer's back-up. I kept Kluiskens till his 31, always was a back-up, went back to Vitesse after that.

completly agree Cody, you find a really good update, then the last point reads, "no more cheat players such as Trifonov, Tsigalko, Paim etc" and then quickly press back

I wanted to be a regular poster here on the CM forums, I even did try to post some stuff in the SG Utd thread (even if I only did that to get a better potential ability next time someone decides to do a SG Utd patch... j/k), but I'm really much more of a lurker (look at the registration date and # of posts)... I check it here often though, just don't feel like posting stuff people already posted (uh... what am I doing now?)

I do think people will come over when CM5/FM are released and things will be back to how it used to be (and I hope you people make another SG Utd patch...)

As for the updates, I usually do them myself (just the major transfers/promotions, though) but whenever I download one, I just happen to find some highly overrated players, and it's disappointing...

sorry for posting stuff you all know about... it's already 4am and I should be sleeping by now.. I just wanted to give my contribution to the thread....... (and sorry for the bad english)

I think the only reason its took a bit of a downfall is because everyone knows the in's and out's out CM 03/04. All the good players, all that can happen etc. So what else is there to post about? I expect after FM5 and CM5 come out there will be a surge of posts because people will be arguing and suggesting new players and telling storys of there unique tales. But until then, well.......well have to depend on the Trod's and Ruud's of this forum to keep the dream alive! :p
