the prices for Radeon 9800 are :-puke: 9500 PRo like I have is like ... 3 times cheaper, and there isn't that big difference! Neither is there to a 9700. aaaahhh And don't let you get caught only thinking at the ammount of RAM it has ... that's got nothing at all to do with how good the card is. A quick example: nVidias GeForce 4.
Ti version:2000 kr. and 64 Mb RAM
MX version: 400 kr. and 64 mb RAM
the difference? EVRYTHING!! RAM is just a teaser, and the actual difference btw them in 3d marks is from 3000 with MX to 12000 with Ti ... do I make myself clear? Thre are a number of other aspects that count, which you should examine for good. Graphical pipelines ... frequency for core and mem ... and so on. LOTS. Don't get fooled by how much RAM a gfx card has mounted ... for if it accesses it with 133 mHz, it will be outperformed by any cards with the half ammount of RAM but accessed with 200 mHz
