What EA MUST put in Fifa 2004 if it is to be a succesful game!

Ive thought of a great idea for fifa 2004.

Players dont just get fatigue in football games but throught the season. For example if you use the same player for 10 games straight, then his performance will go down and he wont play as good.

So in order to have a player with high performance rest him once in a while. Maybe you could have a new stats bar which says performance which is out of 10. 1 been the lowest on performance and 10 been the highest.

Also the fitness stats bar may affect the performance bar. For example the higher the fitness bar is the less chance a player has of getting fatigue. So therefore if a player has a high fitness, he wont get fatigue quickly and his performance stats bar will stay up longer!

Oh and there should be the stadium announcer before and during the matches. He could READ OUT THE PLAYERS FOR BOTH TEAMS GREETED TO CHEERS from the crowd. Also for substitutions he should say something like "SUBSTITION FOR CHELSEA, GIANFRANCO ZOLA FOR EIDUR GUDJOHNSEN" and when a goal is scored he should say something like "GOAL FOR ARSENAL, NUMBER 14 THEIRY HENRY!!!". This would add more passion and feeling to the game so PLEASE, PLEASE put this in!

I know ive posted this in other threads as well but dont u think it would be a great idea if EA included this in fifa 2004!

In europe at the moment fifa 2003 is outselling pro evo soccer 2 so maybe EA does have a chance of becoming the dominant football/soccer game developer.

IT IS, FIFA fanboys get attracted by flashy gimmicks and the chance to score 10 goals in a half....Konami outsold EA for PS2 in Europe, with NO MARKETING !!!

All they need to put in is a freaking decent gameplay . . . That`s all, announcement on the stadiums is goin` to be just a handy dandy atribute with a boring gameplay . . .

FIFA will NEVER be as good as PES/WE. EA have publically stated that they make the gameplay more arcade like so that appeals it to "more" people, so FIFA will never have simulation gameplay like WE/PES. Let's all be realistic here....do you REALLY think that FIFA is going to have the type of gameplay WE/PES has by FIFA 2004? You can't be serious...

good point Berg....there seems no hope...they don't want to follow Konami's lead and they will be convinced that their gameplay is better than WE every year...

If EA even wants to stand a chance of been competitive in the competition, they need to get of their ass and do sum REASEARCH! That word probaly sounds foreign to them. Have they ever done any? For example the penalty system in fifa 2003 is light years behind pro evo soccer 2! And they only recently found out that the ball should not be stuck to the players feet! EA are lightyears behind konami when it comes to making a football/soccer game!

One more thing why do they take out options such as "define referee strictness" and "player create/edit"? :f***: That dosent happen in the pro evo soccer series!!!! WHAT THE HELL ARE EA SMOKIN!!!!! :mrpimp:

They do have researchers, but I don`t know wheter EA give a **** about their own researchers research . . . One whole year of research, and they still think Rivaldo is a right footer . . . :|

ISS 3 is coming out in april for PC, which is a konami soccer game, but i don't think it's as good as winning eleven series. However, with the release of ISS3 on PC means we will likely see Winning eleven on PC too

NBA Live 2003 is so terrible that it's unplayable !

No defense at all, everyone scores 30 a game, about 80 points are scored off the break...the graphics are tops and the animations are great though....but they screwed up the gameplay.

NBA 2k2 is light years ahead, a simulation, not a dunk fest and fast break heaven.

I own Fifa 2003 for my X-box and Wining Eleven 6 Final Evolution for my Gamecube, and while undeniably not as deep my friends still prefer to play Fifa.

As we are all heavy drinkers WE6FE just gets too confusing (especially with all that Japanese Text) where as Fifa although nowhere near as rewarding is alot more alcohol friendly.

Still after drinking lots of gin (ahhhh an ode to Digitiser) there are a number of flaws which are still apparent

1. Long balls -Whenever i think I have chipped a ball into space off screen, there is always someone from the opposing team underneath the ball waiting for it to come down. This must look very amusing to the virtual fans in the stadium as off screen (invisible to the gamesplayer) the players must move at a speed where upon their bodies disintergrate to get into position.
This ruins any attacks where u want to run onto the ball (as in real football).

2. When all my friends have gone home or been taken to the hospital to get gin pumped from thier stomachs I try to indulge in a spot of one player ARHHHHH, how many pads have I smashed. Now I play on the proffessional mode and I'd say I play a bit silky rather like Manchester United do, but however well I play it seems fruitless as as soon as the CPU controlled team get the ball on the wing and cross it in, my goalie rushes out like a tw*t and misses the ball only for some scouse attacker to softly put the ball into the back of the net. I have tries a number of times to put players on the line but as soon as the ball comes over my control passes to a player near the ball leaving my player on the post to do the same as my goalkeeper. Ohh even typing about its gets my nuts in a twist. Now I dont indulge in one player unless I need to get specifically wound up to beat my brother up or shout a swear word at some local Scallywith his pants tucked into his socks.

But otherwise its not a bad game
