Was I even complaining about the lag issues?..

Look, I presonaly dont give a **** if you believe me, but I am telling you my own opinions, why would I make it up?..

I keep saying the game is still the best, and I will kep playing it because it IS THE BEST. Every game has its flaws, WE8 is no exception..

Now get out of your dream world and step into reality, WE8 has issues, but it is still amazing..

And who said anything about me playing bad?..I can win 99/100 on 3 stars, probably do good on 4/5 stars but I aint trying it..

All I was talking about is the cpu rips me off, maybe you lot dont see it, but I do.

Before you talk **** about me try and read what I type first, I said the game is amazing in other posts, I never said I was bad at the game, ok?

uh pro don't play 5 stars?

and yes, I do think there is a problem with the AI,

the marking has problem, attackers can get their strikers to run down way too often unmarked...

especially to the side..

hopefully it's just me who can't really adjust much strategies due to language barrier..

and that's y I love konami for releasing the english version a few months later.. :D all the bugs are fixed, new features...etc etc...
poor the japs, they have to endure a beta version...hehehehehehhe

BTW, i wouldn't call these issues "crap"

Almost all of them sound a lot like you are talking about PES3 (or PES2 for that matter).

As far as you describe them they have been part of this series for ever and ever. So maybe "standard" or "expected" would be a better description.

I am talking about WE8..

I only asked for peoples opinion on what they think is crap about the game, and to begin with I told you all mine, but since you are all retarded you cant understand that, so you begin to flame only because I say the game has crap AI etc..

And yes they been part of every PES3, but until it is fixed I will do the same moaning after every release of WE or PRO..

Nevermind, you all must be around 11 if you couldnt understand my post.

relax, mate.

you are preaching to the converted.

we've talked about these issues (superfast defenders for example) about 134 million times here. some deny that this problem actually exists and will tell you you just need to "practice more", and everything will be fine.

others (like myself) are starting to make their peace with it: it has always been that way, and it most likely will always be that way, because chances that Konami will have a fundamental overhaul of their engine are as slim as a perfect slide tackle from behind in PES3 not being booked. IOW: close to zero.

so what are you gonna do?

I don`t know if any of you notice this, but does anyone feel that the CPU sometimes got a bit of advantage with injury time ? Let`s say for example at the top left corner it shows one minute of added time, and then I got the ball on the opponent half, and when the CPU manage to steal it, the reff often blows the final whistle right away, right ? It sometimes prevents us from extending the lead or tryin` to get a draw. But the case is different if the CPU is the one who has the ball in our half, often I need to steal it two or three times before the final whistle is blown. Quiet some times they manage to score a late equaliser which at some point pisses me off . . .

Hey King actually there is a way to run fast. While you are holding R1 you than hold R2 or tap it Im not quite sure BUT this defenantly works. The player will touch the ball about 10 feet in front of him thus allowing him to run FASTER without the ball. ;)

For the peeps who complained about the CPU defenders catching up with speedsters like Henry or Owen, it's called fatigue. You can't make Henry or Owen outpace everyone in the game and called that realistic. Yes, they do have advantage because of their speed but they have to time their speed runs. In real life, if Henry or Owen make 50 or 60 yards runs everytime, they would be dead tired by halftime. I think Konami should have a fatigue meter to tell how tire a player is.
If the fatigue factor is better implemented, then Konami can improve the defenders' AI by not speed boost them in higher level.

But you don't mention the fact, that the CPU in PES3 doesn't have this fatigue factor. IOW, contrary to the human controlled players the CPU players don't tire. So while my Henry starts to get slower over the course of the game, the CPUs Terry still runs around like a reindeer in minute 90.

You decide why: because it's realistic, or because it's a lamely programmed trick to keep the AI competitive.

shoot that person...

The cpu players get the complete opposite of fatigue - they get faster and stronger during the last 1/2 hour.

Most people have accepted that the cpu turbo mode towards the end of the game is wholly unrealistic......except the die-hard fan-boys who think it's real football, not a computer program.

do a search for "fatigue" on this forum and you'll get a couple of people you need to shoot, including veteran posters and players of the franchise.

here is one for starters:
http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?s=&threadid=90698&highlight=fatigue

also ask yourself why there is a fatigue switch for human players in the game.

or, best of all, shoot yourself instead ;)

I don't recall the CPU forwards or winger players being faster toward the end of the game. The CPU defensive players do not expend that much energy as you do when you make a Henry take all the runs and using his pace or speed move to outrun them. Does Terry make as much runs as Henry in the course of a game? He is a defensive player who sometimes go forward in the attack.
This is why I think Konami should include a fatigue meter. This way we can tell who is tired and who is not.
Yes, we can certainly called the programmer lazy for not doing what we want them to do. Do you think that they are dumb and not want the same thing. They want to produce the most intelligent AI as much as possible to give human opponents a challenge. But programming AI is not easy. Some people bitch and whine about everything. They want to use a player with pace to outrun all the defensive players so they can win all the time. Then they bitch that it is too easy because AI is too dumb. Then when the AI is program to stop the pacey players they complaint the CPU cheats.

Well said, garlei.
That's what I meant kingpig, I was just too lazy writing it.

"expend energy". WTF?. this has been discussed here like how many times exactly? they do *not* expend energy (during a match). that's the whole point.

I didn't call them lazy.

Maybe. I think they want to create a game that is fun, appeals to a lot of people and sells good. That's fair enough. But as I pay for their product I think I am entitled to point out the things I don't like, especially when someone posts a thread on a forum in which he asks me what I think are "the crap parts". People who are totally happy with the game should look for threads in which they are asked to post what they love so much about it.

But programming AI is not easy.

Yes Einstein. I know.

Some people bitch and whine about everything.

And some people explain away everything, just because it says "Konami" on the package. I did not bitch or whine. I just pointed out that the CPU doesn't have a fatigue factor, which I consider a fundamental oddity in this game, or any computer game.

Wrong in my case. I couldn't care less about winning, and "outpacing a player" doesn't necessarily mean that one is automatically shooting a goal.

thanks, but i've tried so many times to register for this forum.. to no avail.

I thought, though, that the fact that the CPU doesn't show proper fatigue (not injury) has been widely accepted.

but why don't you just cite the bits from evo-web that contradict this here and i'll take it all back so that we can close this silly discussion.
