WE8 freezes sometimes...

I don't know if it is my copy, but after about 25 games the game hanged at 3 occaisions, 2 of them when it was about to trow-in the ball. How is that with the others overhere at the forum?

I had exactly the same thing, I burned another copy with the fernando patch at 1 speed, and it seems fine now.

I'm curious, too...
My game also freezes. Froze once in a throw in situation, another one after the intro, and another one in the edit menu.

The thing is... my dvd recorder only burns DVD+R! :f***:

I won't be able to patch it :(

Not a solution to your problem Han, but had a freezing problem as well but in a whole different manner, maybe it will add another angle to the issue to help you find an answer. Anyway, just to set straight, I am using the CDrip at this point in time, waiting for my new comp with DVDwriter before I can make a full backup. I boot my game using the knife trick with the GameShark 2 disk. I also just recieved my Swap Magic disks yesterday. With the GameShark, the game loads extremely slow and has a hard time reading the disk, BUT it never freezes during gameplay and not. The Swap Magic disks loads the game very fast, it reads the exact same disk extremely fast, great load times, basically the complete opposite of the GameShark 2, BUT the game ALWAYS freezes right at kickoff! Now that is pretty weird.
So possibly your booting method and what you use causes the occasional problems?
