End of my 6th season and I achieved the unprecedented treble, and what a match the final of the Masters Trophy turned out to be.
I'd won the league by 8pts in the end but it went down to the last couple of games of the season, but after it was sewn up I had chance to relax and the 2nd place team lost heart.
The Masters Trophy included Munich, who I was playing the first round, along with Roma and London.
In the first round Munich got off to the ideal start with a Scholl screamer after 8mins but with determination, and an inspired Doni and Babangida who assisted for both goals in the comeback, with Doni scoring the equaliser. I managed to earn a 2-1 victory to set up a final where I would face... Everyone's bogey team, ROMA!
It was probably the toughest match I've had against the ai on
PES2. It took me 31mins to break through the deadlock with Mpenza, who had had a terrible season in the league, stealing in on a loose ball to go 1-1 with their goalie and he coolely slotted the ball home.
Then came the onslaught. Roma were putting tons of pressure on me but Bocorda was keeping goal in the game of his life. It seemed that no matter how Roma shot the ball Bocorda would be there, or just manage to get his finger tips to it from any position in the goal. I've never seen anything like it on this game, and it was marvellous and so realistic (if you think of your fave goalie in top-top form).
However, there is only so much a goalie can do under that sort of pressure, no matter what form he is in, and on 60mins Totti fed Batistuta, who found himself with only the keeper to beat and he slid the ball in passed the onrushing Bocorda, who very nearly stopped that too. It was 1-1, and I had work to do.
It was all Roma. They were making the chances, but slowly I began to creep back into the game, having a couple of chances of my own but they were unlikely to trouble their keeper.
89th min... you couldn't have written a script like this... 89th min, last game of the season, Man Utd vs. Roma, Man Utd going for the treble but their up against it, 1-1... thinking of extra-time and desperately wanting my first ever treble... 89th min. I have a corner from the left. Rivaldo whips in a dangerous ball, but there's nobody there. Up pops Mpenza, who, in the words of Peter Brackley 'tries a diving volley'. But he hits it straight into a Roma defender at point blank range. The ball's running out of the box and away from danger. Doni's chasing after it. He catches it up just outside the semi-circle at the edge of the box. He manages to turn around the rushing defender and gets himself a yard of space. He shoots for the bottom left corner. The keeper can't make it... and it's 2-1 in the last moments of the final. CHRISTIANO DONI!!!
I managed to hold on for the last few moments and win the trophy, and the treble.
I've bought Vieri in the off-season with the proceeds of the successful season. Let's see what he can do.

Ok, I need some seious help here, I am getting a little discouraged after hearing all these stories.
Is WE6I harder than PES2? I am playing in Normal. I have about 6000 credit and about to sell Guti to Galatasaray for about 4000 more. Every season I have played, I have had the least amount of goals allowed, even when I got relegated. My defense is solid, It is my lack of offensive firepower that I am missing, sometimes it is as if none of my mf and cf like each other.
Any advice would be helpful. I think I will start by changing my formation tonight to 3-4-3.

ok, so get rid of the russion and replace with Klose or Donovon, and replace Babangida/Guti with Forlan. I will check out their stats tonight.
I will try anything, got 4 more games this season, sitting in 4th place with 15 points, first place is Aston w/ 19 pts. I think I will pick up Donovan for now and get Klose and Forlan in the offseason. Should be done tonight, I will let you know how it goes.
