for all the PES lovers who couldnt get their hands on a copy of WE6 yet...here are my impressions after 1 week!
this is what i feel is BETTER than PES:
- animations! (every movement now looks much more realistic)
- AI (much improved, there are differences in playing style of the teams, e.g. brazil doesnt play like norway, dont know if the cpu makes tactical changes now, if it substitutes intelligently now or if it even substitutes blue arrow players before the match begins like in ISS Deluxe for SNES)
- passing system (much improved, long balls (also high through balls) are finally effective!)
- shooting system (not much improved but now i feel that there are more different situations which is great! e.g. the ball can bounce from the goalies hands at the post or more often than in PES after a save the ball now goes out for a corner which is superb!)
- freekicks (MUCH improved, finally there's some curl on the shots and they are as easy as in Pro Evo 2 which is great because it was way too hard to score them in PES!!, Beckham has his own freekick technique which he uses also for corners in the game...looks amazing!)
- graphics are even better than PES (now Rivaldo etc. really look life-like, crowd looks better IMO, rain puddles now look WAY better)
- the club editor is great! (first question: if i edit e.g. Owen (Liverpool) and replace him with Anelka (i never would just an example!) will Anelka than appear on the England National Team as well??? second question: can we register created players to club teams??? if not, is there another way to change the order of the players in the club teams)
- club team custom tournaments! (still no club team leagues tho!)
- players now come to the ball MUCH more often so that the game feels MORE dynamic than PES!
that's all i can think of right now but there are more things that are better than in PES, also in gameplay.
NOW:
some NOT-SO-GREAT things:
- you can not select 32/32 club teams in custom tournament and play Human vs. CPU, i dont know about national teams in international cup...
- there are now some slowdowns
- the game is even faster than PES IMO, which i think is not very
realistic!
- it's more difficult to dribble because the game is faster, also the CPU wont foul you when you dribble with R2 (like in PES) but simply steal the ball, at least i noticed this several times but i'm not 100% sure, i gotta play some more games to find out.
- where are all the world cup stadiums? i didnt see them in friendly, are they only in international cup?
