Q? .... WE10/PES6 ... PS2 PC XBOX ! Is the next-gen version PS3 XBOX360 going to have WE10's/PES6's (ps2 pc xbox) gameplay physics , or will the next-gen version have a whole new gameplay engine , if not what will be the point of it , if its only going to have better graphics.
I've just about thrown the dummy out of my pram over the cpu picking my passes for me, along with my 2 sons we set up the EPL ( spurs manc and I took wigan ) in one example of many I was 2 on 1 with a defender. I had the ball out on the wing about 20yrds from goal, I turned and faced in to come across the face of goals and draw the defender to me (other forward was in a straight line in from me about 8 yrds away, the defender was at the corner edge of the box coming at me , at the last moment as he was closing in, I pressed the B pass button to let my other forward go 1 on 1 with the keeper! What happened when I pressed the B button, instead of passing to my player I was facing, as soon as I pressed the button , my player on the ball turned and hit a 35yrd pass BACK to a midfielder who was staning a yard or so from the center circle (cpus half of the field) ....
That was it , I had enough ! what is the point of playing a game where the cpu picks your passes not you!
If the next-gen is going to be the same I think I will just give up on football games, I know WE10 / PES6 its just going to be the same thing, the cpu will still be picking the passes for you, Virgins Viva Football many many many moons ago had free passing, you hit the ball the way you were facing, the cpu didn't suddenly at the press of a button turn your player around and facing him the other way and pick the player to pass to for you ...
Viva while not the greatest game ever (all games have flaws somewhere) at least in it you picked the direction of your pass ...
OK dummy back in the pram and when the boys coming back this weekend, we'll continue with the league ...
Please Konami , a new engine for the next gen game , free passing .. kits logos whatever I don't care ... just let us hit the ball were WE want ...
