Alright, name me 5 clear cheating incidents in the 02 world cup. I doubt you can come up with any. Referee errors are expected, and can be called on any team.

Seriously now, some people don't know what they're saying in this thread. If anyone had bothered to read the translation you would notice that UEFA is the continent that would be most benefited by the change.

Africa has 5
Asia has 4.5 (would have 5)
North America has 3.5 (would have 4)
Europe has 13 + Germany (would pass to have 15 + Germany)
Oceania has 1
South America has 4 (would have 5)

And yes, we want our spot back Stunna, it shouldn't have been taken away to begin with.

Punkt, we have ten countries. And your excuse doesn't cut it. We might have the lowest amount of countries but we have the best football.

I personally preferred the original presentation in which the 5th South American would join the 4th North American and 5th Asian in a play-off, with the team with most points qualifying.

In any case, I’ve failed to find other websites that has the news, however I contacted the Webmaster and author of the news and he’s told me that the news is legitimate. Anyhow, there is still the chance that the Germans don’t accept the presentation.

I think the debatable of losing spots / the distribution for some confederations in WC 2006 bring this issue. That's why FIFA bring this idea to have every AFC, UEFA, CAF, OFC, Conmebol, & Concacaf to get a fair.

nz could upset the applecart again and qualify for the world cup over your socceroos, so anything's possible. besides, fifa would never give a second world cup spot to the ofc anyway.

32 is good enough!

Leaving it at 32 is good, because people who don't follow soccer a lot, but do when the World Cup is here, won't be confused. It's easy to remember that the top two go through from each round. On the other hand though, having 36 teams and the 7 best second places going through is just too confusing for those people.

For us soccer fans, it may not be confusing, but at this rate, yes, we shouldn't even have qualifying in a few years.

Just watch... by the year 2018, 200 countries will qualify and continents will be hosting the cup and not countires.

Blatter is an idiot and I cannot wait until they choose a new president. He is a pure Dumba$$!!!
