anyway, I don't think there are underdogs for this one.
England's NT has a much better record than ours in big tournaments, but for the past decade or so Portugal has been closing the gap on the powerhouses.

So no matter which team loses, no one will be shocked with its exit from the competition since both had strong opposition.

Of course its negative, I've already posted all the positives and the negatives still need to be said. I dont think i posted anything that was not accurate. That does not mean that we can't click tommorow and play as we know we can. The point is this, we have to click or we will be beaten. Alternatively, we can stumble through this game just like the previous ones and still win. The trouble with that scenario is, we will need a good bit of luck and Portugal to play badly if we are to win it. We are not a lucky team and Portugal rarely play badly. Therefore we need to be at our very best.

Bravado from the fans dont win games. A functional team wins games and thats what we want isn't it?

I'm already looking forward to the club football season I think the general quality of the football played in this WC has been so poor that I find myself more interested in transfer news than the goings on in the tournament right now...

oh well, go Portugal! Let's just hope for a good, controversy free match... and whatever happens, congrats to the winner. I'm not going to make the same mistake and waste my holiday weekend (and lose IQ points) argueing on the internet like after our last match.
