This is quite ironic but from the video in ihateronaldo site, i saw the following:

1. The ref was not interested in what Ronaldo was saying, he was just looking at the guy on the floor.
2. Ronaldo never waved his hand to signal a card
3. Rooney pushed ronaldo away and then the ref looked up and start whistling and calling rooney over
4. ronaldo made no noise regarding the push.
5. rooney's foot actually went backwards rather than vertically down (natural position when trying to stand up) when he stomped on the guy.

Now I am not saying the Ronaldo's behaviour is right... and i much rather England got through... but if Rooney didnt push ronaldo, i don't see how he would've been sent off.

If anything, blame the ref.. rooney should've got the freekick ages before the nutcracker..

Here's what we were chanting on the streets last saturday after the game:

I respect most english fans and their team (who outplayed us when we were 11 men aside), but truth is Spain, Holland and several other teams got knocked out and there was no news of fans being attacked because of that.
Portuguese emmigrants were attacked by English supporters in Germany and England, and it happens every time we give them a free ticket home.
I'm not taking the part for the whole - it'd be unfair to all classy english fans in this forum - but FIFA should award us a special prize for knocking down England every 2 years.

To top that off, I've seen people get banned here for much less than what was printed in the English tabloids this weekend, and Ronaldo was this year's Official Scapegoat for England's early exit, and all because he winked.

Because of all this, I believe most portuguese fans are with me when I say nothing feels better than beating England time and time again. Really, it's an awesome feeling, and makes everything wothwhile.

Last time I checked, you were pretty confident that England would win. I won't bother repeating what you said, I'll let the words speak for themselves.

Wow, I think the Portugese have been necking back too much caffeine. Quite simple really, if England turn up then we will shake and break Portugal all over the park. The quality of Lampard from long-range, Gerrard's through balls, Beckham's vision, Joe Cole's trickery, an the fact that Michael Carrick will sit just infront of the defence to give, arguably, 2 of the top 5 midfielders in the world space to get forward should be enough to beat any team. Yes, we will have to be cautious of Ronaldo and AC will have to chop him down on a few occasions but I cant see us losing to a team like Portugal.
