Yeah, I think he meant that and that injured players can be subbed and not be counted as one of the 3 subs.

There's already enough play-acting going on. I can see it now: hey fake an injury so we get a free sub...

That substitution rule involving injuries should really be changed...shame that such a massive game was influenced so much by that rule.

That would get exploited easily. Any cheat could fake an injury to sub in a fresh player for the better of the team. It's fine as is in my opinion.

yeah exactly. What a ridiculously stupid idea that would be.
It's the same for everyone, and if the manager wants to gamble and use all three subs knowing there's a chance of extra time or a lot of time left in the game then that's his problem.

wouldn't that give rise to MORE play acting?
coach advises a player to act injured so he can put on another player required?

The Argentina manager threw away this game lol, what a Carlos*ass. He better hope he doesn't get shot like that Columbian player.

How he manages to not play the second(Rooney is the best :ewan: ) best talent in the World cup is beyond me, what an idiot.

That's what you call passion, something which most players lack nowadays.

I don't know, to me passion would be a player crying on the field. Not a douchebag trying to tear someone's head off because their team lost.

Congrats to Germany, i was hoping Argentina would win it after Holland got knocked out. Great 2nd half, both goals were good. Pity that Messi couldn't come on in extra-time he could have made a difference. I'm just curious and what pissed Heinze and Milito off so much they looked like they were going to bash Bierhoff.

Good win Germany, we were both equal and we had to end it with penalties. Unfortunately we had to go out :(

RIQUELME = LIE :kader:

I can't believe Messi was not subbed in for Riquelme, incredible... :-puke:

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long
Yellow Card
Point is well-taken about the diving issue. I'm just dissapointed that one player who could have significantly influenced the game was not allowed to be a part of it because his manager's hands were tied...from that point of view I personally think that it was unfair. Look, I'm not making excuses for Argentina...the diving issue was evident to me as well, on a number of instances during the game. I just would have liked to have seen the best players decide it..clearly that did not happen...to some extent you can blame it on the manager.

Not lost a shootout since 1976....I knew once it went to penalties that the Germans were through!

I'm as neutral as you can get with this match and other than Ballack not getting a yellow for that dive in the box I can't say that Michel was leaning one way or the other in this match. Probably the best reffed match of the WC so far.
