Spain played much, much better than England. England was a horror to view. At least Spain showed their great technique and passing skills. They were so much better than Switzerland, but it was just one of those days when it's impossible to score. They'll get out of that... I think.

In terms of technique, it was an entertaining match, as expected, but for a squad that has world-class depth they really didn't break Switzerland. Possession football at both its finest and worst, really. The Swiss weren't ever really sweating, and Spain is gonna have to learn to break average teams with solid defenses or else they can't be considered favorites.

I wonder why Chilean players cannot get a direct shot on goal to save their lives? The lead up is great, then when it comes to finishing, they always shoot it onto somebody instead than on goal. Even the goal was a deflection.

We were missing our best (and only) CF, Suazo.
Valdivia tried to fill in but he is just not meant to play in that part of the field. Anyway I think Chile had a great performance, and we desearved at least one more goal.

It's a great day anyway here in Chile.

Too bad Spain couldn't tie the game.
