I'm gonna miss that as well. Germany have looked more convincing and I'm pretty sure they'll win. With Rooney's crap form since his injury, HESKEY, Carragher I don't expect much from England. But you never know.

I think Argentina will win but Mexico has a good young squad this time. I'll be rooting for Mexico but Argentina has been looking good and I wouldn't be upset if they went through.

Argentina humiliating Mexico is about the only thing that could cheer me up after that US loss. But it's not going to happen, it will be a close game.

I had a dream last night that we beat Germany 2-0 and Rooney finally scored the second goal with a low powerful shot... Xavi scored the first though and he was wearing his Spain kit too :D

Oddly enough I had a dream Mexico lost 2-1 to Argentina, and I was extremely pissed off. Not so much because they lost, but because they were wearing Honduras' colors.

GER 0-1 ENG
ARG 2-1 MEX

Both on extra time. I’d rather see Germany advance, but I have this feeling England will beat them. Hope I’m wrong.

I think Argentina vs. Mexico might be more exciting to watch, because both teams play a more offensive style. Like Chile, Mexico just needs to learn how to score. Ghana did that today.

But I’ll be supporting Argentina, because I want to see Brasil vs. Argentina (considering Brazil vs. Japan is not really possible, of course :().

Starting XI
I have to go with Germany... as Lineker said after losing to Germany in the 1990 WC semi's, "Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win"

Germany 1 - 0 England
Mexico 0 - 3 Argentina

I also came across this quote earlier today from an English fan :D
"The World Cup has turned out like World War II. The French surrendered early, the USA arrived late, and we’re left to fight the Germans."

I'll bet both teams dedicated half their training time to taking penalties, not that they're likely to get to that stage. England will be desperate to avoid it at all costs, I expect they'll push hard for an early goal. This German team does not know how to sit in their own half, they'll also stream forward looking for goals, I'm hoping it won't be the dour stalemate many may be expecting.

Cacau is out for Germany, but Klose is back, if Schweinsteiger is given the all clear (sounds like he'll play), then it'll be a major boost. I'd like to see Philipp Lahm moved to the left flank, to deal with English attacks from that side, Jansen doesn't inspire much confidence.

Press is saying not all is well within the English camp, John Terry is not fond of Capello, and if things don't start off too well a few other players might begin to feel the same.

Fingers crossed for a German victory, and a Capello meltdown.

Wouldn't mind seeing it go to penalties but i think it will be a draw and Germany will win it eventually.
