In the latest days I havn't followed the forum but....is there a patch to change the teams groups in the WC? Always playing against the same teams in the world cup is really annoying!!!

The answer is "YES". The groups of WC can easily be changed. Tell me, what groups do you want, and I can create them.

I can tell you, how to do it, but later. Do you know, what HEX is? Even if you don't - got to the http://www.hexworkshop.com and download Hex Workshop. After that I can explain how you can edit groups.

F*cking asshole! I have made a manual, posted it here, but it FAILED to post. And everything was deleted. If you knew, how it is hard to write again.....

OK. To change teams, you should edit fifawc.exe, using hex editor(I recommend Hex Workshop). Your task is to replace a number of a team you want. How to know the number? The easiest way - look in FED, there are the numbers of all national teams, in WC they are almost similar. When you know the number(for example, Russia - 1357), you should convert it in HEX. You can do it, using Windows Calculator. The number of Russia in HEX is 54D. But that's not, what we need. In FIFA numbers are backwards - the first two symbols are exchanged with two last ones. And the numbers contain always FOUR symbols, but in Russia's number, for example, there is 3. So, we should add "0" there, and number looks like "054D".
We exchange the first two symbols with two last ones, and get the FIFA number - 4D05. That's, what we should search.

The list of teams, which participate in groups, begins in file fifawc.exe on sector "2510D4". To go to that sector you should press "CTRL-G" in Hex Workshop. And then you search for the team you want to replace. For example, if you replace "D003" on "4D05", this will mean, than Russia(4D05) will play in group E instead of "Saudi Arabia", and also Russia will play in group H:), because you didn't replace it there.

I hope, you understood it all?:) In fact, once understood, it is very simple.

OK, i've tried this one with changing the teams...and i've replaced the entries of all teams...in fact i wanted a damn new World Cup...but then i have startet fifawc.exe and all was at the old stats...the same old groups etc.

Why doesn't it change?

Then i was going again into the hex editor and there was the old entries again...why?

I want this to be the new teams:

Oh, i wanted to say i have the crack from WC2002 because i'm so f*cking hammered always insert the game cd...you know ;)

The HEX Numbers are already changed format, that means for example Romania(in original WC Slovenia) FIFA Number 1361 is in Hex ->> 0551, but in the FIFAwc.exe 5105..and this step is already done in my list!

So, let's come back to the theme...how to create a group...
i've understand how to do but like i have explained it haven't worked!

Maybe someone of you can make it for me?
But, please...the cracked one...or, if it really has to be i can out in my original CD...but the most of you understand that it isn't so cool always inserting the CD!

What about no changes editing file - I have met this problem too, and I don't know, why it is.

But I recommend you to do one thing: in Hex Workshop go in the Options menu, then press "Pereferences". In opened menu you will need "Configuration". There under the title "Advanced Options" but checkbox near the "Enable direct file editing".

This option means, that when you close the window, the file will be autosaved. DANGER! Be careful! I recommend you to do backup of the file before editing.

And everything will be fine.
