Joe Cole is playing great, they are sh*t scared of him on that left side, he is running at them and creating things.

Owen looks rusty, lacks sharpness in his first touch.

Gerrard needs to distrubte the ball a bit more at the edge of the box instead of having a ping when the ball is out of control.

Terry has been caught out a couple of times with his distribution, just looks rusty.

Cole and Beckham are playing good. Owen is nowhere to be seen, and the ref seems to think Crouch heading the ball is unfair and therefore a foul...

Paraguay is probably the slowest team I've ever seen.

Very very bad offside call on them though, which would have left the Paraguay forward 1 on 1 with Robinson.

Anyway England didn't do much but deserve to be winning.

Paraguay needs to bring in Da Silva to man mark Crouch, he wont get anything in the air after that. They should also bring in that chubby as fu*k Cabanas in.

I dont like the way England is playing...they just looking for crouch high to get it to owens but its not working...we need sub for crouch or lampard cuz they are not playing well.

England certainly don't look like 7-1 odds-to-win favourites right now.. Paraguay started off incredibly nervous and still haven't gotten back on track, a bit more possesion in midfield for them in the 2nd half and it could get tough for England

Seems like Eriksson adopted Benitez tactics of targeting Crouch no matter what. England is deserving the lead but i expect Paraguay to move forward in the second half so perhaps the game will be more interesting. Joe Cole has been the only entertaining factor in the game. Beckham hasn´t been bad either.
