Next time a different group might end up having the US on a run like 2002. With all due respect to the MLS, it's players are either too old or simply dont have the skills to match its European or South American counterparts.

There's going to be massive re-building in the next couple of years.
Not true. Onyewu was solid vs. Italy and played well today. Can't blame him for the penalty, that was just a bad call. The Czech goals resulted from collective errors, not just Onyewu's. I think he's been the least of our concerns.SlayerDeuS said:Oguchi Onyewu: Horrible defender who just bullies guys around, bad technique and his head was never in the game probably due to nerves. All three Czech goals and the PK were his fault plain and simple.
I agree. One pretty good game vs. Italy does not excuse two poor performances in our other two games.SlayerDeuS said:Landon Donovan: What else can I say?
Disagree. Reyna played well in all our games, up until the costly error today.SlayerDeuS said:Claudio Reyna: Failing to lead his team when they were down early and for his play in general, getting dominated in the midfield.
Agree.SlayerDeuS said:Bruce Arena: tactics, leadership, blaming players/refs, making excuses

J_J_Okocha said:thanx for bringing this bull**** to a soccer forum. everytime the USA bows out they always have to bring up economic things. Soccer is not about economics. Ghana is a really poor country, but it beat the world super power of USA. if wanna take it there.
ShiftyPowers said:Yeah you know what you're right. We're all just retards. We'll take our superior economy, higher education, and IQs and just go be stupider than the rest of the world. Wait, what's that? It appears your country has less people with graduate degrees than America, in fact your countrymen seem to flock in droves to America to get educated. That's odd, because I thought we were such retards. It also appears I don't know what country you're from (although I'd guess Turkey) and you know what? It doesn't matter. Everything I said above applies to any country that you could possibly be from.
ShiftyPowers said:That's always what they say, they can't respond and so they go "don't bring this to a soccer forum." What was I responding to guy? I was responding to a guy who called the entire population of the United States "retarded" because as a whole it doesn't enjoy soccer. Now I could have attacked this outrageous logical fallacy in a number of ways. I could have pointed out that enjoying or appreciated a GAME does not have anything to do with intelligence, but you know just as well as I do that he would have matched that with an "lolz ya rite dumb amercan!!!11" So instead I attacked his notion of Americans being "retarded" by explaining to him numerous instances in which not only are we decidedly not retarded, but we were at the top of the world in things that require a good deal of intelligence.
