The French players were deliberately provoking him , waiting for him to lash out and get sent off. I think he would have been sent off if he played the whole match.
He needs that kind of agression if he just stood there and let people throw abuse at him, he'd b backing out of every challenge. And he can control his anger he aint stupid he wouldn't get into a fight, e.g when vieira had his smelly french hand in his face, rooney just wacked it away, and vieria f**ked off.

He's very aggressive and he often wins battles for balls. I'd have to say he's a very good player. He flew past the french defence. But when he 3 defenders on him, he should have passed to vassel. But atleast he drew a penalty. Which failed to be converted into a goal.
