Big Al, I am not sure what u are ranting about.

As a Nigerian, it pains me to admit that Eto'o is possibly the best player in Africa for the last 3 years. We [Africans] all saw Eto'o grow up. i saw him at 20, so u cannot tell me what i saw. What I saw then was a very talented player who had terrible finishing and was very very inexperienced. I can say that he was not as good as Kalou is now. As I said earlier, we used to call Eto'o "sir-miss-alot." which is a pun on the famous american rapper/Dj "sir-mix-alot. we gave Eto'o that name, becus he has the worst finishing Most of us had seen.

About winning? Kalou is a chelsea player, so winning should be no problem for him.m As for personal awards? he has already started -"Johan Cruijff trophy in 2005."

sir-miss-alot? ; thats cute; so what do you call him now after 2 seasons with barcelona and a fully develop player; and why does that pain you mate ; their are alot great african players other then etoo and kalou; like martins, Adebayor, essien even obi mikel etc etc ; but theirs always going to be someone who is more special and unique player than the others; i dont understand why does that pain you ; you talk as theirs nobody else than etoo or kalou;

Why does it pain me? becus I am Nigerian and there is a rivalry between Nigerian football and cameroonian football. The same way it will pain an Argentine to call pele the greatest player of all time.

Eto'o is a great striker, but any one who watches football knows that Eto'o is no sheva!! Shevchenko is the greatest striker in the history of the European Cup. Thats a fact, not my opinion. The Statistics speak for themsleves.

any decent striker would do just as good in front of that awesome Barca midfield. if you think Sheva wasn't good enough in the world cup, then look at it this way, Sheva brought his NT to the world cup, something that Eto'o couldn't do.

the real question is can Sheva shine in the Premiership?, there aren't tougher defenses than in the Serie A, but the EPL football is different (just ask Crespo)

Big Al, Sheva has nothing to prove. Whether or not he does well or fails in the EPL, he has nothing to prove to anyone.

1.) He has been highest goal scorer in the Serie A
2.) he has won the European golden ball
3.) he has won the champions elague
4.) He has won the serie A title
5.) He has a better record in the champions league than any striker, living or dead.
6.) he took a small footballing country to the world cup - first in Europe to qualify

My friend, dont let the critics fool you. Sheva has nothing to prove to anyone. he has done it all. I will be suprised if he fails in the EPL. he is good enough to be successful. But if he does fail[whish i do not think will happen], he has nothing to be ashamed of. What he has achieved, no present EPL striker has - Van Nisterroj, henry, Rooney, e.t.c. [none of them has ever won the european goalden ball and none of them has as much european cup goals as he does.

milan has a pretty damm good midfield if you might ask;anyways my opinion on sheva i think he is a goalhunter; those kinda players that only push the ball to the net if you get my drift; plus i disagree about the uckraine issue; i dont think sheva was the main reason they qualified cause i saw alot ukraines WC Qual. games on the dish an the whole team is pretty damm good ; plus after that the ukraine was the real black horse in the WC no thanks to sheva if i might add; but more on the likes of kalinichenko; tymoshchuk, milesvkiy whom also all played a wonderful WCQ;

1. Milan's attack and midfield is better than Barca's?
2. Sheva's role in leading the Ukrane to the world cup was minimal?
3. Sheva's inability to do well in the WC led to the Ukrane being a disappointment, despite their team being so good?

Milan AC's midfield is good but not as good as Barca's, there's just no comparison between the 2, Sheva is just better anyway you wanna put it.
Haven't you thought that maybe he didn't shine as much in the WC cuz everyboy knew he was the man to watch for his team?.

and i don't think hes a box striker, i'd say Eto'o is more of a box striker than Sheva, i wish the best for him, but having seen a good striker like Crespo in the EPL not doing as good as he does in the Serie A casts some doubts into how Sheva could perform but then again Crespo is a different kind of player too.
