Wanted - Sig grafx pointers

Not a signature request, I enjoy doing the work myself, but there is a bunch of grafx talent around here and I was wondering how to take the gist of my very basic sig below and make it into something nice like the old-timers here have.

I only have the basic XP grafx stuff (MS paint and photo editor) and the stuff that came with my Cannon scanner (ArcSoft PhotoStudio).

Is there a way to find a cool background like a Rovers banner and blur it a bit then close-crop the player pics and badge and drop them on it, using the basic programs?

to be honest mate, the software yer using isn't really suitable for making quality sigs I'd try "get yer hands" on photoshop or psp

once you get a good program, the best way to get better is to experiment with everything.
